Mitten's Home Appliance

I've purchased my mattress as well as my washer and dryer from Mittens and I've had nothing but good experiences with them. They're friendly in the store and were especially careful when installing my washer/dryer. The gentleman who installed my machines even offered to show me a few things about them regarding basic usage, and made sure I knew what not to do just in case. He didn't have to do that but he did anyway.



Just throwing this out there, but people are always motivated to complain to an audience than they are to express gratitude. I'd personally recommend Mitten's to my family and friends.



I've worked retail all my life and regarding Michael W's review, I don't blame anyone for hanging up on him if he's being blatantly insulting. I'm no longer surprised when I hear grown adults having the equivalent of a temper-tantrum when they realize that they aren't going to get their way. Once a customer walks out of the realm of 'asking' and into the realm of 'verbal abuse,' I'm all for ending the conversation until that person can approach me like a reasonable human being.



Also, who the hell drives 80 miles to Marshfield if you're willing to shop at big-box retail? You would have passed one to two major cities on the way in any direction. Michael's story reeks of attention-seeking bologna.

The person who wrote a review on 11/15/2008, could not be more accurate of his description of their customer service. Entirely unacceptable. I agree 100%, only he was wise enough NOT to have purchased from them. And he forgot to mention that this does not stop at appliances, they treat customers for all their products this way. I got the same attitude from the guy who claimed to be part owner, "too bad, so sad". I would hope those who are doing their homework and read these reviews take it seriously. They will promise you in to buy something from them, but when you have an issue with your $500++ purchase....GOOD LUCK!!! They advise you when you are shopping there that their products are superior to any other competitors, claiming other chain stores label the products the same, "but beware, these products are not as good". However, I am here to tell you that is false. If you do encounter a problem within a short period of time with such a purchase (of such "quality items"), they will not back up their promise to "take care of you" and they were as the other review described, VERY rude. Thumbs down, and will never go there again.

I called for a portable dishwasher, and asked if they match prices, by the way I had to drive 80 miles to get to thsi place as I grew up in Marshfield, and i thought they would be freindly and helpful, boy was I wrong! Anyway he told me yes if it is the same model, and then he found out it was then stated no it is $499 when Menards has it for $448 on sale. I said you said you would if it was teh same model, then he was just rude, and I told him so, they he got into this speel asking me what I do for a living and he has been there 20 years and I will have to talk to the owner if I am going to complain, he alreay knew I was going to complain and it seemed he did not care..I called him a jerk and he acted like I swore at him, and hung up the phone even..they apprantly think teh economy is going to stay awesome for the appliance business and do not realize that sales might just drop drastically and they might need any sale they can get.



do not shop here, by the way teh guy's naem was "John" he called himself the manager..
