        Talk about bait and switch - c...

        Talk about bait and switch - called about pricing a car chassis, stripped of EVERYTHING that bolts on, and guy goes from 8 cents/lb to 10.5/lb. Ok, still a little low compared to what I got a few months ago, but I figured rates had dropped, and the place was closer than a couple others I called. So I make the trip. Then, after I get there, he says "Oh, I thought you meant a frame like a truck...after explaining how cars are made using unibody construction, he says it's back to 8 cents/lb. I figure on what should be a 1080-1100 lb load, that's $25 or so less and not worth driving somewhere else. So they offload it, and I go weigh again. In the office he says, 640 lbs! WTF?!? The last car was IDENTICAL to this one and similarly stripped and weighed in at 1080lb. SO - bottom line - I get $51.20 instead of the roughly $110-125 i was expecting. RIP OFF - try the place near the Philly Airport, they seem honest...this place, not so much.
