Southern NH Veterinary Referral Hospital

I was referred to this hospital to have my dog's tumor removed. To say I was anxious was an understatement. They called to make the appointment soon after the referral and they were quick to schedule the surgery. Reception, the nurses, and the surgeon were all professional and thorough in their explanations of the situation and the next step. My dog needed to stay the night and I came away with the impression that she was very well taken care of by all those in contact with her. My dog is very resilient, but the surgeon also did a tremendous job in his skill and having my dog leave with minimal pain/stitches. I am very pleased with my experience, but most of all, I have peace of mind that everything will turn out okay.

Brought my dog here because our primary staff was on able to diagnose our dog and recommended going to a specialist. While the vet here was kind to the dog and I, she would not listen to me at all. She had a list of tests that she wanted me to do on the dog, more than half of them had nothing to do with what I brought the dog there for. We did run a few tests, with them all coming back normal. By the time I left the office, they had taken $1200 from us and gave us zero answers. Within the next week we have to decide whether to put our dog down or go to another specialist. We ended up going to Angell in Boston - they were fabulous and diagnosed our dog within 30 minutes (pending the results of the tests, which ended up confirming his diagnosis). We almost lost our dog due to the incompetence on Southern NH Veterinary Hospital. I HIGHLY recommend you choose Angell in Boston over this place (and as a side note, Angell is considerably less expensive).

WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS. A DR. LEAVES AND THEY CAN NOT HELP ANIMALS WITH REFILLS OF MEDICATION! NEW DERMATOLOGIST CANNOT GIVE MEDS UNTIL THEY SEE ANIMAL. THEY DON'T CARE, THIS PLACE SUCKSSSS. SO DOES THE VET WHO LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
