Magnolia Smokehouse

I have lived in Magnolia for many years I moved to the Woodlands a year ago I make a drive to Magnolia every weekend just to enjoy the great food at Magnolia Smokehouse and the company of the nice people who work there , there has been times they were busy and took a little longer to get my food but its worth the wait and plus its not fast food, LOVE IT

Uhm this is my gpaws place i work there and honestly he doesnt drink you or your husband were probably rude and its not fast food go to mcdonalds if you want it that fast only 2 people work at a time and if you dont respect us what makes you think we will be nice (: try putting yourself in that situation you cant control the crowd. Its great food!

Not only do I not agree with the other review I am amused by it! I have known Mr. Huskey for almost 40 years and to think that someone would refer to him as drunk old man is kinda funny since he doesn't drink at all. My family and I eat at the magnolia smokehouse at least 3 times a week and have never had a bad experience. There has been times when they have been very busy and we have had to wait a little longer for our food but never to that extreme and if they are that busy that should tell you one thing, the food is good or they wouldn't be busy. The food is defenitly worth the wait. It has been a long time coming for magnolia to get a decent BBQ place in town. Not only do they treat us like family when we go there, they usually know what were getting before we even place our order. They will 100% for sure continue to get our business and would highly recommend them to anyone. I am planning on having them cater my daughters wedding in April because That's what she requested. For all of you that have never eaten there you just try it out for yourself. I think you will enjoy it!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY!!

Went in on July 4, 2012 at 1:20pm to eat here with my 2 year old, husband and two friends. It was my first time being here, while my husband and our friends had been a number of occassions with nothing but decent things to say. Between the 5 of us we ordered a side of mac-n-cheese, chicken potatoe, chicken burrito, chopped beef sandwach (SPECIAL of the Day only $3!), sliced beef plate and 4 teas. After patiently waiting for 35 minutes (1:55pm), with 3 parties ahead of us still waiting as well, I went up to the pick up window to check on our order. Neither of the 2 young ladies working said anything about how long it would take when we placed our order, so I asked them "honestly, how much longer?" The blonde young lady said "5 minutes" so I asked the brunette young lady for our drinks atleast and our daughters mac-n-cheese. She told me to give her just a minute, which I gave her 5 (2:00pm) until she gave me our 2 teas and the mac-n-cheese which was just warmed up in a already prepared styrofoam bowl. So we allowed our daughter to eat her mac-n-cheese and by the time we had waited almost an hour for our food (2:15pm) we decided to ask for our money back and leave to go elsewhere. I approached the ordering window and waited a minute before an older heavy set man asked what he could help me with. I told him "I would like my order cancelled and refunded because it has been an hour since we ordered." He then replied with "We only have one more thing waiting to complete your order." I told him we still didn't want to wait and to charge me only for the 2 teas and mac-n-cheese. He then replied with "Well what am I supposed to do with this food now?!" In a very aggressive, upset tone. I told him to "give it to the other 3 parties that have ordered after us that were patiently waiting on their meals that were also nearing and hour old, I'm sure they would appreciate the kind gesture!" Then he got even more irratate, hit his fist on the counter and yelled at me "This is not a fast food joint!" At which point my husband came up to the counter. I told the old man that if we had been informed by one of the 2 young ladies working, that our order was going to take an hour long because they were short staffed than we would still be patiently waiting or we would have said nevermind and not placed the order. My husband told him "We didn't come her for a 2 minute hamburger, we came here for a 10-15 minute barbeque meal." The old man then said "Well we are short staffed so it does take longer." Still the gentlemen asked what he was supposed to do with our food that was ready. While they spoke the blonde young lady refunded everything besides the 2 teas and mac-n-cheese, including our friends seperate order on my credit card (2:20pm). To think that this establishment can not maintain helping 7 seperate parties of 2-5 people is pathetic!! All they had to do was tell us "Sir, your order is the 4th we have processing but we are short staffed and it could take 30-45 minutes but let me at least get you your drinks while you wait."

I have never been spoken to so rudely by what I believe was just a very upset, drunk man because his employees could not run his little barbeque restuarant. I WILL NEVER REFER NOR GO TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN and I suggest no one else does either!!
