Carpets Plus

Carpet Plus is 5 stars in every respect. I told Jack Finkel (the flooring consultant) that my son was getting married & we wanted carpeting before the wedding. I did my homework & contacted 3 respectable carpet stores. The first 2 stores said it could not be completed on time. Carpet Plus was the last of the 3 stores. Jack studied the numbers. He said it was a big job, but he felt with a degree of certainty that they could accomplish it on time. Long story short - they did it. They took the challenge, rushed the product, & beat the total price of the other 2 respected stores at the same time for the exact same pad & carpet. Their installers did a super job & cleaned their mess afterward. I can't thank Jack & the Carpet Plus team enough. They made a special trip to polish things off early so everything would be finished by the time I was picking up guests from the airport . That's what I call thoughtful consideration & mutual respect. I only write a a review when I'm upset or extremely satisfied. In this case I'm EXTREMELY SATISFIED.

Carpets plus charges their customers more than double what the installers price. And to top it off they don't pay their bills for installation. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you want the installer to put a lein against your house.

I am giving this business one star, which may be unfair in some respects. While I believe the staff are friendly and for the most part seem to know the products, and the installation crew(s) were top notch we had a huge problem with one of the flooring lines they sell. We have purchased flooring products for 3 homes from Carpets Plus, & this is the first time we have had a problem, but I consider this a huge problem. The product is a commercial grade laminate made by Diamond Living and is still being sold in this store. It was installed in fall of 2010 & it started buckleing and delaminating immediately. To date neither this store or the company have done a thing to honor the warranty on this product. They have sent people to photo etc. on 3 occasions and the floor continues to self destruct. Buyer beware - the warranty on product(s) purchased at this store may not worth a thing. We are going to have to replace 1000 square feet of this flooring on our own dime. Hence...one star.
