in the past they were very professional, was a repeat customer. I recently returned a masonry saw, and because of the trouble i had, were they willing to help. the counter manager said he wasn't able to do anything, so i politely asked to talk to someone that was capable. when the owner Bruce came out of his office, he said,"You the guy?"and proceeded to imply that some people will over tightened a belt on a masonry saw and rudely told me he wont do anything more than a refund. i had a guy who has been using masonry saws for 30 yrs on job sites and a diesel tech assisting me that evening. the saw was not maintained and the belt was so warn when i picked it up it was frayed and would not spin the blades well(even prior to cutting). i down loaded the manual and read it front to back. i had 4 crew with a ruined Saturday, and backhoe in route that cost me without being able to use it. when asked what i want, i told Bruce that i was hoping he would show some "good faith" and that it would go a long way in my book, he told me that he can't give me a free rental, and cut me off when i said can't?, and said YOU'RE RIGHT, I WON"T DO IT.
i also spent half my Saturday driving around Lynchburg trying to find a belt. i called every small engine/husqvarna dealer in the area trying to find a belt that may work. the Lynchburg store doesn't have an answering machine, store hours are not listed on the website(just on facebook, which i see now), or store hours posted visibly from the locked gate.
i should note the counter manager Stephon, store manager Billy, the Farmville manager and cashier were all polite and helpful. but they cannot do much when the owner and company policy tie there hands.
Farmville location had store hours listed on answering machine 8-12 sat, but never came in b/c they didn't have any rentals that day. the Lynchburg store blamed Farmville for not contacting them so they could get me a belt.
