Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lufkin

This is a great hospital in Lufkin that treats older adults with mental illness. My mother was a patient here recently and they really made a big difference in her battle with depression. Everyone was kind, caring and made you feel welcomed. Highly recommend.

This hospital has changed DRAMATICALLY since new leadership has come on board over a year ago. Sherry Bustin, Administrator, has a true heart for what she does and it is infectious for the staff. True team in all respects and I love coming to work everyday.

Ocean's Behavioral Hospital in Lufkin, TX is just one of many in the Oceans corporation. OBH of Lufkin took my father in (a 65 year old man with late stages of Early Onset Alzheimer's disease) after an altercation at his long term care. Our family was never asked to fill out any paperwork, in fact they said he gave consent. LOL. Lufkin is 3 hours away from our families home. My father had no previous medical history and walked in to OBH, yet after only 10 days in their facility he was rushed to the ER with his Oxygen in the 60's, pneumonia, severe dehydration, and was in pulmonary arrest. At that point we were given no explanation and they started to be tight lipped and only covered their own butts. My dad passed away a week after leaving Oceans. Do not... I repeat. DO NOT leave them to care for anyone you love. They are under state investigation for Double G (a pattern of noncompliance to state regulations) and possibly Immediate Jeopardy. We are not the only ones whose claims have been substantiated by the state. Please steer clear of any facility related to Oceans Behavioral Hospitals!! If I could give no stars, I would.
