Avista Adventist Hospital

I'm disappointed in the quality of care my husband received at Avista Hospital. After his surgery, he was a patient in ICU. He saw a different doctor each day. No one explained what was happening. His nurses didn't offer to help him with his activities of daily living. He was on his own. His scheduled medications were given 3 to 4 hours late. Then he was transferred to 2nd floor. He was put in a room with the door shut and rarely checked on. It took forever for someone to answer his call light. I called to speak with his nurse. I gave her the required "privacy code". His nurse (Karen) was rude, and refused to answer any of my questions. Karen told me that I had to "ask him" how he was doing, then hung up on me. I made several attempts to contact the nurse manager to discuss Karen's unprofessional behavior. I was put on hold and or hung up on. I sent a letter to Avista's CEO and the patient representative. We received no response. The next time my family needs medical services, we will NOT be going to Avista Hospital. I would give it negative stars if I could!!
