Sea Otter Swim Lessons

It's a clean, and professional facility, but it is pricey. So far we've only done parent tot lessons which are a good price. The parent tot lessons are great for getting your kid use to the water at an earlier age and it's a bonding experience too! One thing I wish every swim facility offered was some kind of expected growth/skill chart based on age and consistent swim lessons that way I know what I am paying for.

When I brought my 2 year old here-all she did was scream in the instructors ears for the first 4 lessons. I felt so bad for her! But they have a gentle way of teaching the kids the basic skills of water safety. We kept coming back and always recommend them to new moms!

We have been Sea Otter swimmers now for a couple of years. My son had tried the parks and rec swim lessons but never made progress because the 30 minute group lesson only ended up giving him 5-7 minutes of 1:1 actual lessons. While Sea Otters is considerably more expensive, within 2-3 private 30 minute lessons, my son was SWIMMING and WATER SAFE! Once my daughter was about 2, we let her take some lessons too...she's now 5 (just turned) and is swimming like a fish! We are headed back this spring for refresher classes!! The old adage is true: you get what you pay for!! Sea Otters for LIFE!! ❤️����

Ive had two great experiences with them and two absolutely awful. Ill start with the positive its pricey but my children learn so much one one with two great instructors. We had two horrible experiences one was a male instructor rolled his eyes are my son and a very elderly instructor was just mean to children. I decide to not continue with them because I just felt the turnover rate was too high , if you got a good instructor it went superbly and if you got a horrible rude instructor nobody was supervising the staff. I thought if I am am unsure of the quality then I might as well not pay so much money and go with the park district which is a fraction of the cost. I gave them three stars because when you got a great instructor they learning by my children was leaps and bounds .
