Demolition
New construction included 13 classrooms, restrooms, a science building, a multipurpose room, and other facilities. In addition, the renovation included relocating four existing classrooms and two existing maintenance buildings. The overall plan also required the demolition of several buildings.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
As part of the site preparation, Landmark Construction installed completely new infrastructure including new water, sewer, gas, and storm drain systems for the entire complex. This lease-leaseback program also required new site lighting, landscaping, student and staff parking lots, and multiple vehicle access loops as well as basketball courts and canopies.
Retaining Walls
The new 25,000 SF LEED Silver facility is located in Fairfield and comprises of a completely new site which includes a full CHP police station with bullet-proof construction and a detention unit, 7 truck inspection bays with high-speed doors, automatic controls, and ‘weight-in-motion scales’. The inspection pits have hydronic radiant heating, LED inspection lighting, high-efficiency ventilation, and automatic covers protecting them when not in use. Construction also included a new extended off-ramp from I-80, braided on-ramps to I-80 and Route 12, 2 bridges and retaining walls, and state of the art sorting technology.

Residential Roof Repair
This project was originally slated to begin design in early 2015, however, the architects were not brought aboard until December 2015 with a move-in date of August 2016. As a result, the planning process had to be nimble and focused on a modernization scope that could be designed, DSA-approved, procured, and constructed within that nine-month window. After special expedited approval from DSA, the sprint to transform the campus began. RFIs, design selections, and any conflicts were solved quickly and collaboratively by the architect and construction team in the field, in a manner which facilitated delivery of the project on time. The following summer, the Landmark team returned to replace HVAC, lighting, and roofing throughout the campus, while protecting the newly installed finishes.
