Been paying Dash for years on a service contract. They were checking the A/C in the Fall and the heater in the Spring. (completely backwards). After forcing them to change to checking the A/C in March, the still under warranty unit seized up. Service call $75. Cost to add 1 lb of refrigerant ($19 value) $210 (with my "member discount) of $30. I called competitors in the area and they charge half as much! I've surely wasted my money for years. DO NOT GIVE DASH YOUR BUSINESS!

I was out of town and a tenant...

I was out of town and a tenant was having trouble with her air conditioning, not being able to reach me, my wife decided to try Dash.

BIG MISTAKE ! !

Dash came out on a Saturday afternoon and cleaned the unit for $384.53 ! That is right, $384.53 to just clean a unit. While other service companies are sending out flyers advertising cleanings for as low as $60, Dash took advantage of a woman and charged her 6 times others advertised rate.

Do not call Dash, especially if you are a female and unfamiliar with customary charges.

My situation is not yet entirely resolved, Friday evening the AC compressor failed, I have had issues on my Carrier 4 ton unit & heater, but it's at end-of-life, which could znd does, also describe me!

Monday first thing I called, got somebody to come out Tuesday at 9am. I know 2 AC experts, but it's "That time of year" and needed a solution I could effectively pay for, over time. I got a REASONABLE deal, not the greatest or the worst. I'm going to update when the work is completed.

A lennox 5 ton unit, variable speed, 16 SEER & a heater unit (package) Vent clean & wifi connect for issues and repairing torn vent insulation. This is what I'm buying. Like back end differentials in a vehicle, the proof of quality is the result of a good install, that is the measure of an AC / Heat install and of course quality equipment.

Why am I prefacing this review, before an install, reasonable question, I'm old and medically disabled. I have an install scheduled for first thing Monday next week....A long time with Summer temps, Dash provided a FREE portable AC unit until the job is done....That's why I'm doing this review now. I learned something new, a BRICK home will result in an interior ambiant temp 10-12F higher than the outside temp, who would have known?

I'm a bit OCD, so, I will be updating the end result, so far I'm impressed with customer service help, it's very easy to talk to those at Dash. The deal I got permitted 60 months, interest free + a $600 tax break at a monthly rate that's very easy to manage.

From the moment Jeremy of Dash showed up to the minute installers left, the experience with Dash was professional organized & effortless.



Dash invested time in measuring my home & identifying concerns so they could help advise me on the best solutions to meet my needs. Not once did I feel pushed to make a specific decision or purchase more expensive units as I had with competing companies.



Dash was in a competing bid with another company & I choose Dash. I felt the Lennox variable systems are better & overall, Dash’s pricing was about 10% less than competitor pricing, a lot when talking 2 new units plus their list of satisfaction guarantee’s exceeded any competitors I spoke with.



The installation guys were professional, respectful and made the 1 ½ day installation effortless. You could see by their actions & work ethic that they are knowledgeable & efficient in their work process & they left my place in perfect condition you couldn’t tell they were there except for the new units!

Tech said he could try to replace a capacitor & super boost, $95 each, but it might not work. I'd still hv to pay for it. I told him to try. Well it didn't work. Of course, I needed new unit. Middleton and Jones both gave 2nd opinions that included any tech would hv been able to tell ours was a lost cause withOUT installing capacitors & super boost. Dash wouldn't take these parts back either, stating they were USED now - even charged me $85 labor. Call them and they will do the same to you.

I was quoted one price, when the rude repair man got to my house he pulled out a long price list, and then wanted to charge me more than twice the amount discussed on the phone. Apparently the people at the office did not mention the cost for which ever service level of the chart was used. Then he started in on a price chart to sell me a new unit....

This business has a tiered pricing but you aren't told until they diagnose the problem. In order to give a price for the necessary work though, I had to wait 45 minutes because the math invovled and the varying prices the technician had to deal with from his pricing BINDER and calls to the office. If you pay more per month then your prices were lower. Once they are at your house though, you owe them $78 and they have wasted 45 minutes while they work out the price. They waste more time trying to sell the monthly payment plan to lower the cost of the day's visit. In the end, I feel like I was over charged.
