A Little Off the Top

My daughter and I love Kayla and are very happy overall with the salon. The entire staff is very friendly. Every time we go in, it's a pleasant experience. My 17 year old daughter, who insists on the latest and greatest, loves working with Kayla.

I booked the entire salon on the morning of my wedding so that I and my entire bridal party could get our hair done, and so that I could get my makeup done. I could not have been happier with the service we were provided. Everyone looked beautiful, and everyone was very happy with their hair.



Amy, the owner, did my hair, with some help from Rikki, and they took so much time to make sure that it looked exactly right. I had come in a few months earlier for my trial run, which was also really great and welcoming, and I could tell that they cared that what they did for me was what I wanted. In the time between the trial and the big day, I changed my mind about how I wanted part of the style, and not only did they enthusiastically take on the new style, they made sure that it was perfect and would last the whole night.



Rikki did my makeup, and I can honestly say that I've never felt more beautiful. She did an amazing job, and I didn't need any touching up the rest of night. I felt amazing right until the end of the evening at 2 in the morning.



Not only that, the entire staff made us feel welcome and shared everyone's excitement for the day. They let us bring in food and drinks and we basically took over their entire waiting area with all our stuff.



One thing that I was very worried about was our time - we needed to get me, seven bridesmaids, and two flower girls in and out by noon so that we could make it back to our venue in time for photos. Not only was every person finished by 10:30, an hour and a half early, they had performed EXTRA services, since some of my bridesmaids decided they wanted to get their makeup done too, once they saw mine.



I can't say enough good things about my experience at A Little Off the Top. I would book them again for my wedding in an instant. If I lived in the area they would be my go-to salon for all my hair appointments and make-up as well. Thank you Amy, and Rikki too, for doing such an amazing job!!

This salon used to be great, very up and coming. Unfortunately though, it has gone down hill the last few years, and my most recent time there (this summer), was the last straw. The one hairdresser is full of negativity and gossip. She has apparently been in this town way too long. It is also inappropriate when her family members come in and stare at you while you are getting your hair done. Don't even try to argue or confront them if you are displeased with how your hair has been done. They are argumentative and will brush you off at a moments notice, after charging you an arm and a leg. What happened to the customer is always right??? The owner is too soft. She lets her hairdressers walk all over her and the customers and does NOTHING about it. It's pathetic. Also- don't expect any current hair trends to be executed properly there. I can't even begin to guess the last time any of them took a class to stay fresh. Word to the wise: find a different salon- maybe in the Manheim or Hempfield area. It's NOT worth it to stay in Lititz for the convenience.
