Texas Skydiving

This was such an amazing experience. David and Cecily are definitely the people you want to have instructing you. They are the most kindest and easy going people you'll meet. Had no fears whatsoever. Very easy walkthrough and training of what you'll experience. If you do jump, make sure to get the celebrity package. Their camera has amazing video and picture coverage. Will not regret at all!

WOW!
I just took my first tandem jump at Texas Sky Diving Center and I had a blast. I searched texas skydiving and the first site that came up was for a small sky diving center in Lexington. Despite a number of negative reviews I decided the price was within what I was looking to spend and close enough that I had nothing to lose (I mean sky diving is supposed to be dangerous right?!). I took a short training with James, who couldn't have been more friendly. Honestly the time I spent in freefall had to be the best 35 seconds of my life! We had an awesome slow glide into a nice soft landing. AND THE VIEW!!!!!! I would recommend Texas Sky Diving center for any first time diver.

Thank you so much for an amazing and awesome skydiving experience as we celebrated my husband Joel's birthday. There aren't any words adequate to describe how great you all are. I never thought I'd skydive, but now I can't wait to do it again. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you.

Just wanted to say thank you to Ben, Daniel and Dan for a great jump experience.

Tim Bourne and I are pastors at Genesis Metro Church and we decided that if we were going to ask our people to get to the edge of themselves, trust God and "jump" then we should be willing to do the same.

So, we found ourselves at Texas Skydiving Center having the time our our lives. It was a great experience and provided a lifetime of sermon illustrations for us.

I can't begin to describe the experience I had this past weekend...The jumps themselves were incredible. The AFF class with Ben was as much entertaining as it was educational. By the end of the first day, I felt like I've known him for a long time. All the other staff was equally as warm and inviting as well.

So apparently this facility is by far the WORST place to do business here in central Texas. I am just wanting to voice MY OPINION of this and Ms. Cindy you are one of the RUDEST people I have EVER met. Not only will I be writing a review on here but I will continue to do so and post it all over Twitter AND Facebook so the whole world knows how awful this business is. I bought a Groupon back in March for my mothers Birthday so she could go sky diving and knock one of the items on her bucket list off. She has always wanted to do this and I've always been for it since I am an adventure seeker like she is. So today was the last day to use is. Prior to today my mom tried calling several times but she'd be told that they weren't jumping that day or anytime soon due to weather or various other excuses like not enough people etc. So on the Groupon it says call to make a reservation by 08/05/2013 okay so I call for her so that I can make the reservation later this year in the fall when its cooler and she doesn't lose the Groupon. As soon as the phone is answered and I tell CINDY what it is I have ( A GROUPON) her tone of voice IMMEDIATELY changes. She become rude with me and starts to tell me to read her the fine print. I ask her why and she says it has to be used TODAY and they aren't doing jumps so I am going to lose my money. I am in awe at this point confused because that's not what it says and I paid quite a chunk of money for this gift. I tell her it does't say it has to be used by today that it says I must make a reservation by today. She begins to raise her voice and I tell her I will call her back once I read over the Groupon again and speak to the person who needs to make this Reservation. I tell my mom whats wrong and she calls them. Same story only this time CINDY is claiming that they have been having problems with Groupon not putting on there the fine print and its not her fault. Then my mother tells her that we will be contacting Groupon about the matter to get a refund and she quickly changes her tone and says no she doesn't want to put words in there mouth that its not exactly what they have said but nonetheless my mother insists and then CINDY gets worse raising her voice (at a customer who was planning on bringing along others myself included and paying FULL PRICE for us me, my husband and sister to jump as well which we told her and she continued to NOT CARE!) She also says that and I quote "We wouldn't want someone like you here ANYWAYS!" I'm sorry but that sounded a little racist considering my mother has a very thick Hispanic accent ....I was NOT happy. She continued saying Groupon has been refusing to put on their Groupons that it must be used and reserved by 08/05/2013 and it was too bad so sad we just lost $ for not using it correctly. I was furious and my mother decided that she was just going to hang up and let her know that we wouldn't be arguing with her about this matter. Cindy is the manager of this facility supposedly and I think that this place should be closed down. FYI I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and also writing to local media centers to follow up with an investigation on your facility!!! In the end I spoke with Groupon who were NOT AT FAULT and they went ahead an offered me 1 of 2 things to either A. Talk to them on my behalf and make the reservation or B. Refund my $ Needless to say I Chose B. WHY? well if this woman is this way can you imagine how she would react if there was an emergency or while jumping??? AND THANK GOD I CHOSE WHAT I DID read below and you will see this isn't' the FIRST TIME MS.Cindy ROYALY messes up. Last note PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM I promise you all you will get is a headache from having to deal with this company!!! I RATE THEM NO STARS!!!

I just wanted to thank you for all of your help in arranging what has been one of the BEST experiences of my life! Every second of it was amazing and I'm already looking into scheduling another jump!

We had a great time yesterday. 3 of us went out and did 2 AFF jumps each from 11000'. James has a LOT of jumps on his record and was a great jumpmaster and a nice guy. Austin and Cindy were great as well! We'll be coming back as often as financially possible :)

I came with a group of friends on a sunny Saturday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. There were nine of us, so we hung out for quite awhile and asked your staff every question we could think of. "What happens if we dive through a cloud?" "Does anyone ever panic when they're in the plane?" "What happens if the tandem dude has a heart attack on the way down?" And they answered every single one of them - with a smile on their face.



My "tandem dude" was really nice and chatted with me the whole way down - It was a wonderful experience and this helped calm my nerves even more.



Oh, but just one thing - DON'T try to find the place by using GPS...we learned the hard way that it didn't work. Follow the directions on the bottom of your confirmation email and you'll be good to go.

Thank you for a great experience on Saturday. Nicki and I truely enjoyed the day; it made a great 10 year anniversary suprise. I am very pleased to have driven the extra distance to your jump site as compared to stopping short at another DZ. You have very professional folks. Wouldn't mind another jump in the future.

Good morning... I wanted to take a brief moment just to thank you and your

staff for a memorable experience I shall never forget... Quite honestly,

I'm happy that I decided to tandem-jump rather than AFF... Perhaps it's my

age -- I turned 50 today -- UGH! Any who, there is no comparison between an

11,500ft free-fall and my ancient/archaic military static-line jumps. I was

really stressing -- not so much with the altitude; but rather, the

mind-mechanic of it all........ What I mean by this is -- remaining calm &

confident that I could avoid catastrophe if the parachute did tangle -- or,

over-shoot the LZ, etc., etc............. Such a worry-wart!! After my

jump -- well actually, even while free-falling, I was sort of ashamed that I

whined at all.......... The entire experience was absolutely text-book --

just as we were trained... I do hope to return very soon for my AFF...

And, I promise not to whine this time! If you will recall, I started out with a

Static-Line -- then, my spouse wanted video -- so, I progressed to AFF --

and ultimately, jumped Tandem............. God!

My son & I did a tandem jump on the 11th of March. We had a GREAT time and can hardly wait to do it again! Thank you so much.

I brought my fiance to skydive for her birthday, and it was a first time for both of us. Driving up to the DZ was a bit scary and didn't seem like a place to be skydiving as much as a place to grow some corn. Our concerns were soon subdued when we met the staff. These guys are professional and down to earth. No skygods here, just decent people. Thanks for an amazing dive Josh, I will be back! -Joe K.
