My husband was recommended Carolina Complete Auto Care to get a used vehicle. He was told the shop was run by a Christian man, so he assumed that he wouldn't get taken advantage of. He talked to the guy there and the guy said he could get him into an SUV for $2000. My husband agreed and the guy said he just needed to make some repairs and replace some parts on the vehicle. Not long after, the guy at the shop said he would have to up the price to $2200. My husband hesitantly agreed and paid for the vehicle. When he picked up the SUV, he was driving to work and noticed that it would not go over 20 mph. He called the shop and the guy said he would come pick it up and fix it. He took days to pick it up. When he finally got it, he dragged it out for 3 weeks, making excuse after excuse, as to why it wasn't fixed. It finally got to the point where he said he couldn't fix it and he would give my husband a refund of $2000, even though my husband had paid $2200 for the SUV. When my husband went to get the refund, the guy refused to give the refund because the title was not in my husband's name. It turns out, the title wasn't in the name of the guy who sold him the vehicle, which is illegal. In order to sell a car, it needs to be in your name, otherwise, it is tax fraud and you can be fined and/or go to jail. My husband only physically had this car for less than 20 mins and the guy was refusing to refund him. He was very rude. A negative review was left on the shop's Facebook page and the guy threatened to not refund if that review wasn't taken down. This is also illegal, you cannot threaten someone for placing a negative review of services rendered. He threatened to sue for defamation of the review was put back up. It's not defamation if its true. At this point, my husband had the review taken down, because we needed that refund, even though it wasn't a full refund, as it should have been, considering we never had the car for more than 20 minutes. We got the reduced refund and are taking legal action. I would highly recommend NOT dealing with Complete Carolina Auto Care. They are rude, dishonest, involved in illegal activity with flipping car titles that are not theirs and act nothing like Christians. Save yourself the lost money and legal fees.
