Monarch Dental & Orthodontics

They have me signed a paper of what I should pay and they end up calling me a couple days later telling me I own them more. They try to sell you everything except good service. Stay away.

I've been going to Monarch for about 10 years and my experience with them is mixed. Overall, I've been happy with their more experienced dentists (you will have to demand them or you'll get a dental "student"). Today however, I am switching dentists because Monarch's "plan" is to do, litterally, thousands of dollars (think in excess of $10,000) to rework my entire mouth. I'm 57 years old. I want my teeth to work. I don't care if my bite isn't perfect.

Very unprofessional, untrustworthy experience. These guys will do everything to sell you things, instead of fixing basic health needs.



Went to Monarch Dental in Lewisville with a simple need -- to re-sit a crown that had just come off. Right away, the dentist and another lady started telling me a litany of "problems" with my teeth: I must fix this, that, and get some new crowns, and get a clean up, etc. When they sensed I was not committing to sign up for those services, their tone changed.



Both went away for few minutes, and then said we can put your crown back on "temporarily". I asked what that means. They said they can't fix it permanently until I get all other dental work done with them. I said I can't afford to get everything done; I just need the crown re-sitted. They came up with an unbelievable excuse: suddenly, my existing crown is not good anymore, and I must get a new crown.



There was a clear effort to sell me stuff, rather than help me with my simple need. Very unsettling experience. Such people just shake your faith in simple human decency.
