Dear Mr. Schriver, I came across your review and wanted to comment. We as the owners of Jiffy lube Lewes wish to extend our sincere apologies to you that you believe that your son may have been treated unfairly. I believe that your son was an adult at the time of service and please feel free to contact me at the below phone number if I am incorrect. If your son had expressed reservations about the recommendations we would have gladly printed an invoice for him to decide on at a later date. We have had young drivers that come into our store with parents available to review the recommendations for their vehicle and we like to educate young drivers for their awareness about preventive maintenance for vehicles that they bring to us. It would be highly unusual for an underage driver to purchase services without a parent present to pay for those services or we would speak with them on the phone to go over the recommendations. All recommendations for any vehicle are under manufacturers recommendations and are verbally given as well as given on the invoice if they choose to wait until the next visit. That way you can make a decision later if that best suits the situation. We go over the recommendations while the car is at our establishment and ask if that is something they want to do now or come back at a later date. We do not just do services without advising the person about the services recommended or without their knowledge/permission. We also offer many coupons available to our customers in many different ways to help with savings that can be found online and in print. Do not let your son or daughter go to Jiffy Lube by themselves.....son stopped in for signature oil change and have trans fluids checked......figured fifty, sixty bucks, no he got a bill just under $300.00's. Told writer amt wrong...after zero satisfaction asked for mgr? who got bill to under $250.00. TOTALLY WRONG!!!!!!
