Great!!!! Jenny, owner, has been my stylist since moving to Las Cruces almost four years ago. During the past four years, I've attempted long hair to short hair(several styles), different shades of highlights and even a perm. I love a new look every few months and I've NEVER been disappointed in Jenny's talents. Her prices are equivalent or less then other salons in the Las Cruces area. I've always been treated well and never waited more then 5-10 minutes for an appointment. Jenny has always accommodated my crazy schedule. Plus, I can make appointments via text.....hair should be easy and Jenny does just that for me!!

This is by far the BEST salon in Las Cruces! I have been to several others before I found this and nobody was ever able to make my hair look this good. The staff is super friendly and helpful and Jenny gave me a lot of good tips on how to style my hair. On top of everything else, the price is amazing and they always have some sort of special on highlights or cuts. I've recommend several of my friends here and none of them have ever been disappointed!

This place is AMAZING! Not only are their prices INCREDIBLY reasonable, but Jen, the owner, cut my hair and did an AMAZING job! I had no idea I had such pretty hair, but under her scissors, it really shone! She did such a great job! I'm so happy with my cut that I'll really never go to anyone else again! She was so friendly and gave me advice on how to style it. She brought my confidence back on a day when I REALLY needed it. Thanks, Jen!

I don't let anyone else touch my hair. I love the ladies at Shear Talent. They're always friendly, and Jenny always finds the time to give my unibrow a good waxing when I just pop in to say hi. Oh, speaking of, when was the last time you loved your stylist so much that you wanted to stop by and say hi every time you were in the neighborhood? They're never pretentious and always upbeat. In January I moved to Alamogordo, and while I'm sure there are plenty of talented stylists in the area, I still don't trust anyone else with my hair. I mean seriously, I let Jenny shave part of my head yesterday!

This is one of the greatest places to get a cut in Las Cruces, hands down. I went and saw Vanessa, and she did an AMAZING JOB. I have curly hair that I often straighten, and usually when I get my hair done, a lot of the pieces end up looking really jagged, and longer than the others :( Vanessa is amazing! She is so friendly and sweet, I felt so comfortable talking to her. She took the ideas I gave her and gave me an amazing cut! I have a cut that is a bit harder to maintain and keep looking good for extended periods of time (an undercut(half of the head is shaved, kinda like a half mohawk)) My hair looked FANTASTIC after she was done with it! She was knowledgeable, the style looks awesome. Anytime you can get down to Shear Talent, I recommend it. Great prices and even better stylists.

Awesome Salon, This is the only place I will go get my Haircuts. The staff is great and they know how to treat their customers.

For years I have been trying to find someone who can deal with my long curly hair. It is tempermental and has a mind of its own. If not trimmed right, I look like I have a lion's mane.



My search is over. Jenny over at Shear Talent understands my hair and has even matched my hair color perfectly to hide some grays (shhh our little secret).



The atmosphere is always friendly and clean. Highly recommended.

My sister and I get our hair done by Felicia. She does an awesome job on hilights, cut and style. I got my hilights done and wanted a light brown on my med brown hair but when all was done and I got home and styled it, it looked too light for me so I called Felicia and asked her what we could do and she said to come back in and she would put a toner on it and darken it. It came out great after that. She didnt charge me for anything and always styles my hair. I always tell her thats ok I'm just going straight home...you dont have to style it. LOL she never lets me leave looking a mess. :) Even when my hair is damaged from my own doing she does everything she can to help me get it back into shape. I love the whole theme of the salon also. They have always taken my credit card and debit card so not sure what the situation was with the past reviews. Thanks Shear Talent!

I have been to Jennifer C. for my hair for years and everytime i go in and get my hair done I come out amazed at the talent and skill she has with hair. she has done up do's colors, highlights, lowlights, corn rows and the like to my hair and she does absolutely amazing work. I would recommend her business to anyone who wants their hair done the right way. They may take more than 20-30 minutes to get your hair done but the quality and look is well worth the wait. Now That I live in tx i havent stepped foot in a salon and i usually pay jen visits on my rare trips back to NM to freshen my look up for me.

The salon looks great and all the staff was super friendly! As busy as they were when I went they took their time to make me look and feel great! I wish I could go more often.

I have always had a great experience at this salon. I went on a whim, using a half off special for deep conditioning and cut. My old stylist moved, so I was looking for a new salon, so I gave it a shot. I saw Felicia, who is awesome. Every time I have brought in a picture - for either a style or color I wanted - and she was able to give me exactly what I was asking for. My old stylist (that I paid a TON of money to) never was able to do that. She took her time, never rushed, and it always comes out great. I even recommended her to a friend, and she loved the cut and highlights she received as well. The prices are more than reasonable, especially for the quality cut you receive. The atmosphere is friendly - if you are wanting a posh/swanky ultra salon experience, then don't go here. And I say that in a good way - I never felt comfortable and relaxed in fancy salons like that. At Shear Talent, you will get a relaxed, clean, comfortable environment where you feel like you can actually speak up and ask for what you want. Another plus is I am always able to book an appointment easily, thanks to their Saturday hours. Other places make you book months in advance - which I hate. Here I can usually call and get an appointment a week in advance, if not sooner which is awesome when I just get a sudden urge to cut my hair. Overall, a great place that I will keep returning to.

I have been a Client of the owners for years and she is the only person I trust with my hair. I can go in and tell her I want something different and just let her do her thing and it's always amazing. I get so many compliments on my hair. I also take my kids there because she is the only person I know that doesn't leave scissor marks all over their fine haired heads. I hope she's in business for a long time...I love this salon.

This is a great salon. When I moved here from Albuquerque I had a terrible time finding a place to do a modern style. This is the place! All the latest styles and services at a reasonable price. Check it out!

First of all I have to say anyone who doesn't completely love this salon has no idea what quality is! I immediately felt like family the moment I walked in. I had no idea what I wanted done so I left it to Jenny and when I walked out I looked and felt amazing! Her prices are more than fair maybe even a little low for the work she does! I am now I lifetime customer and recommend her and her salon to anyone and everyone!

I just recently got an AWESOME haircut and color by Jenny! I am so happy with my hair, and I have recieved so many complements, especially on the color. I would recomend Shear Talent to any one and will be back there soon for a touch-up and trim. Thanks Jenny for a fanatastic experience! :)

My mom just wrote a review before me & I'd like to add on to her's. This is literally the WORST salon I have ever been to! I took my mom to get the 7 foil highlights for $25 & also a cut& style. For one: They were very rude, not only me, but my brother& his wife& also my mom felt very uncomfortable. They gave us all dirty looks when we walked in, were not friendly at all. Two: The $25 for 7 foil highlights is crap, I paid $75 for my mom's highlights. Yes she got a cut&style also(which was not done the way she wanted) but...her hair is chin length, a little longer before it was cut, but either way that's not enough hair to charge $50 for cut&style that is rediculous! They rip you off, they also don't do exactly what you want, they don't tell you they don't take visa or debit cards until AFTER they do your hair even though on their door & site it says they do. And lastly, word of advise if anyone does decide to go there, don't ask how much longer it will take them to finish because they don't like that. My brother's wife did that because we wanted to know if we had enough time to go get sonic, & the lady says "don't rush me on my hair!" seriously lady get a grip. I do NOT recomend anyone going to this salon, most unprofessional salon I have ever seen in my life!

First off I was looking for a new salon. I called and made an appointment and the girl was so so as far as friendly. On the add on the website says they take mastercard, visa, american express. Now, I go to my appointment walk in and they all look at you and don't say anything, the person behind the register, didn't even say welcome can i help you NOTHING. And my daughter kept getting dirty looks from the employees. She did my hair...Jenifer that is..... and cut it sloppy did the highlights wrong, and too boot this was so i could look nice for my husbands homecoming. When she was done, we went to pay and she said we only take cash or checks no cards SOOOO nice of them to tell me that BEFORE I went in. And highlights were only suppose to be 25 dollars for a special. I WAS CHARGED 75.00 FOR CRAP and now i can't even look at my husband when he comes home, crying ever since i left that place. I feel and Look horrible. I SERIOUSLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!

It's swell! Great little salon, the decor is really cute and the girls know what they are doing! I'v ebeen hesitant to do much with my hair since previous salons have messed it up. I walked in with a picture of what I wanted and the staff went above and beyond! Not to mention the prices are great! Will def be recommending to all my friends!
