Jane Lopoten School of Dance

You will usually see only good experiences posted, but I have decided to post my experience because it's important to know the facts when making choices for our children. I was a naïve young parent when I chose Jane Lopoten. My decision turned out being a really bad error on my part that hurt my daughter's for many years that followed. Although Jane can appear to be very nice, she can be quite cruel in the classroom at times depending on her mood. Both my younger and older daughter said that dancing at her school was one of the worst experiences of their childhood. It broke down their self esteem by being criticized and made to feel inadequate as they noted that many other students were also made to feel. I finally removed my daughters and they attended an elite school and exceled, but I wish I would have listened to my gut at the time. Steer clear of this school if you want your child to have a positive experience and gain confidence.
