Travelodge

If there was a negative star rating I'd use it here. (and yes I tipped the maid anyway, because it's not her fault she works here). We worked all night, finished our job and needed a room at 4am. We called the closest place in between the current job and the one we'd do the next night. This Lancaster Travelodge was only a few miles away. Over the phone we inquired about early check-in and were told yes we could come now but instead of staying until the following morning (which would have been nice to grab a shower after the second job, again at 4 or 5 am and then check out having a full 24 hour "stay") we could stay only until 6pm. We could have driven 7 more miles to the redroof inn and gotten our full visit and paid 5$ less but we were tired and went to the travelodge. In the middle of a sound sleep at 10:55 am (after 5 and a half hour sleep) I get a call from the front desk saying "Yes at check-in you were told you could stay until 6 pm, well that is not happening. (that is an exact quote!) Checkout is at 11." I say "You mean 11am tommorrow?" "No, right now." "But we just got here around 4am!' "Well checkout is 11 and if you stay past that you'll be charged another day." I hung up. My husband went down to the desk, the owner kept saying "but normally peolpe check in in the afternoon and leave in the morning" over and over. He then added if we wanted to do differently we'd need to call before and negotiate... which is exactly what we had done and they were now reneging on!!!!! Finally after hassle hassle hassle they said we could stay, but at this point, what, ARE WE REALLY GOING TO GO BACK TO SLEEP?

And did I mention that it was not a Fri or Sat and there were only 4 other guests?
