Dental Examination
At your complimentary new patient exam, your treatment coordinator will take a fast and comfortable scan of your teeth. The doctor will then go over your treatment simulation to show you what your #LOAinvisalignsmile will look like at the conclusion of Invisalign treatment. Once all of your questions have been answered, we will get to work creating your aligners.

From the very same Itero scan, we can order expanders, space maintainers, Invisalign and other brands of aligners, and make retainers (see the Free Retainers for Life section). We also order robotically bent, fully patient customized wires from Suresmile for patients in braces. In essence, the scan is the primary stepping stone into treatment and our commitment to you is to continually expand our expertise and improve our offerings to you, our patient.

We utilize advanced digital and 3D treatment planning to ensure predictable, stable, and esthetic surgical results. LOA Orthodontics has been supervising surgical cases since the inception of this treatment modality. Your doctor will work closely with you to review all your orthodontic needs and evaluate if orthognathic surgery is the best option.

Orthodontics
We use the Itero Elements scanner to record the position of teeth and the bite relationship. We do not take ‘molds’ or impressions of the teeth because they are not as accurate, they are messy and they make patients gag. In fact, at LOA Orthodontics, we were the first practice in Lancaster, PA to start utilizing scanning technology over a decade ago.
Invisalign Orthodontics
Behind the scenes our specialized digital team is moving teeth into position and utilizing the most current and effective protocols to achieve the very best clinical outcomes for our patients. We take pride in staying current and on the cutting edge with aligners and LOA is in the top 1% of Invisalign providers worldwide.
Braces
Braces are also called ‘fixed’ appliances in that they are attached to the teeth. The best thing about braces are that they are tried and true – in use for decades and able to solve most any orthodontic problem. Children, adolescents and the young at heart (!) like that they can select cool colors with to go with their braces. LOA uses several types of braces, tailoring the treatment to the patient’s specific needs.
