Pringle's Painting

The company came out and as expected from a painting company, gave us an estimate on the job. The owner followed up on the job until we agreed to accept his offer. They came out early first thing the following day and we had high expectations. Nevertheless, things turned sour quickly. He kept calling us back to the home for more and more supplies, to include tape. When we purchased tape he was not satisfied with the kind we bought so we had to go out and get more. Keep in mind, we work and had to take away from our job to supply this on demand. After a days worth of work they demanded cash payment as progress payment, which we gave them. On the second day, the guys only worked half a day although the owner told me they worked until 5 or 6pm. This is when the lies started to occur since we left them in our home alone during the day. This job was suppose to be a 2-3 day job, but now 4 days later the job is not complete. On day 3 we left our home unlocked expecting their arrival to complete the painting job, and they never showed up at all, with the exception of picking up some of their supplies. We called the owner, he stated he would finish on day 5 because he just received a bigger job he had to go to. I was furious because why not finish our job first? We demanded answers and when the owner showed up on our home, he continued to lie to us and get nasty about not wanting to finish the job and in fact asked us to pay for his supplies he used, wow. When we told him that the lines were not painted straight on the walls, he refused to fix them. In addition, he refused to finish the job. We asked where our paint cans were, and he didn't have an answer for this. We had expensive paint mixed at Sherwin Williams and no where to be find. We finally had enough and told him not to come back. We no longer trusted this company in our home. We asked that he reiumburse us the paint he took from our home, and he denied it. We are now out of our money (which he insisted we pay him cash only - be careful people) and then never wanted to complete the job or do it right. If I can do anything to help others not use this company so that they are not having supplies stolen and lose money on a job not completed, I would advise to spread the word on this company. They even asked us to clean up their mess they made in our home, very unprofessional. The 25 years they have backed behind their name means nothing and so many people don't tell others their experience. It only takes one person to stop this from happening to others.
