Opened in 1956, Chambers Elementary School serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school maintains a parent-teacher association, which is a nonprofit and nonsectarian service organization that connects parents, school and the community. The organization funds various programs and activities, including assemblies, field trips, book fair, special events and People as Reading Partners. The elementary school also offers character education and after-school programs. In addition, Chambers Elementary School maintains a mental health program that identifies and provides support for children. The school is a part of the Kingston City School District and is located in Kingston, N.Y.
