Tread Quarters Discount Tire

I was on my way out of OBX with my 4 kids. A truck in front of us had a landscaping rock fall out of the back and right into our tire. Completely destroyed the tire and I have no spare, because I have a Toyota Sienna and it doesn't have space for a spare. I called Tread Quarters in KDH because this happened at 5:30pm on Saturday and they're open until 7:00pm. My husband had to leave early for military orders, so it was just me and my kids. We were completely stranded. I talked to the guy on the phone and asked if he had tires, very boastfully he said yes he have thousands. I said, great because I need a tire changed so I can leave with my kids and explained my situation. He said, oh well I have no technicians here. I confirmed that they closed at 7:00pm and he said yes...but that he had no technicians. So what exactly is the point of being open if you can't actually help anyone? He really didn't give a crap about me and my kids being stranded. He just kept saying that I'll have to wait until Monday. I'm not even sure how I would have done that with no car, and no place to stay. I explained to him that I couldn't even go anywhere because I didn't have a spare. Still he couldn't have cared less. Maybe it is where I am from or how I was raised, but I would never just leave someone stranded for two days without offering any kind of help. Me and my husband own a business and if someone called us with this kind of emergency, I would find someone to come in and change the tire. I called a couple other places who didn't have the tire, but were willing to help in any way that they could. Thank God the Walmart in Elizabeth City (over an hour away) was able to help me. They also did so in about 8 minutes flat. It's sad you couldn't call someone to come in for 15 minutes, at a time you claimed to be open, to help someone in a tough situation. If you are in OBX and need help, don't go to these guys. You should really be ashamed as a business.
