I (Bob B) just brought a 2014 CR-V three weeks ago on Feb 29th, for $23000+tax. We drove off with that day there was some small issues we had a small chip in windshield and a broken piece of trim/molding on front grill. They gave me 20 day temp plates and was to register it at DMV. My temp plates have expired and now I can not drive the car. I tried to get this issues rectified prior to expire and talked to sales rep also left messages for car repair manager and still waiting. It seems once they get your money you are put on the back burner. I never got a call back from METRO to see if we are happy with car.

I've purchased my car here in 2011 which was an alright experience. However, there car service is horrible. Every time I bring my car here, even just for an oil change it takes over 2 hrs with an appointment!! My latest appointment was for a diagnostic... It took 1.5 hrs for them to just tell me I need new rear breaks and a battery. Now on top of the 1.5 hr wait they say I'm going to have to wait another 2hrs for repair. What was the point of having an appointment?! I'm never coming here again.

Terrible, unprofessional, rediculious and hidden pricing. Purchased a used car Honda civic, the dealer brian was a scum bag, and knew we had a small child so he took full advantage of us. He charged us 6000.00 more than msrp we ended up paying $16000 for a car with a Kelly blue book value of $9500. After I got the carfax report on it I found out it had multiple accidents, brought it back to the dealership the next day because auto windows and locks worked intermittently, and they told me I was stuck with it. They said I would receive oil changes and car washes for the life of the vehicle, they never allowed one oil change. I had recently been in an accident, hense the reason for purchasing the vehicle. The car dealer noticed a bottle of Vicodin in my purse, and asked for some.. Totally disgusted at this dealership!!!! I am convinced that used car sales men have NO SOULS... Thanks to METRO HONDA.. Stay far away from this place!!!!

The worst experience I have ever had at a car dealer! I would not recommend Metro Honda on Hartford Ave, Johnson to anyone.

I was shopping around for a new vehicle and stopped by to see what they would offer me for my old vehicle for a trade in. The sales person (Juan) that was assisting me asked for my car keys and took my car to the back so they could assess it. My first mistake. He then sat me down and discussed pricing on one of their Hondas I was interested in. They offered me $1800 for my trade in, ok, but only removed that value from the sticker price. I said, “no way”, he then came back with a slightly lower price. I still said no. Then another sales agent (Juan’s manager I guess) asked “what price would it take to sell you the vehicle today.” I was still shopping around and wasn’t set on a model or price yet. He wanted me to commit on the spot, so he kept lowering the price and kept saying said I cannot commit to that. He reached a very low price for the vehicle (to good to be true price) and I final said yes. He asked for proof of a down payment, I gave him my credit card. My second mistake. He then came back smiling and said his manager would not go down that low, so we were back to the price I discussed with the 1st guy. He still insisted on getting me to commit on the spot. I kept saying no. He went back and forth a few times to the front desk, while I was left waiting. I finally go to the point and asked for my car keys and credit card back so I could leave. They kept negotiating and I kept telling them I am not committing on those prices. I was there for about 3 hours. For about 2 of those hours I felt I was being held hostage. They would not give me back my car key and credit card and kept negotiating with the price by bringing it down only slightly. I got up and was going to the front desk and then another guy (3rd sales persons/manager) comes to try to negotiate the price some more. I keep asking for my keys. At this point I’m more arguing with these guys than negotiating on a price. The 3rd guy final said he would bring my keys and credit card. He never did, I got up and went to the counter and asked for my key and credit card. The general manager (I think, guy behind the counter) gave me my keys and credit card, but not without giving my crap for not take any of the offers.

Far from any professional service, people trying to sell you time share are better.

I have purchased six brand new...

I have purchased six brand new cars in the past 20 years. By far, Metro Kia in Johnston was the worse, most aggravating experience I have ever had with a dealer.

Last Friday, I contact Metro Kia via one of the car sites (Edmunds.com or kbb.com) and negotiate the best price I can get for a 2012 Kia Sportage LX AWD with Convenience Package. Process goes pretty well. I dealt with Kaylyn Santamaria (Customer Service Representative) both on phone and email. She gets me a price. I say OK, I’ll come in on Saturday (next day) morning. She sends me an email with a link to Metro’s website to check current inventory. I click on it and before you can enter the site, there is an offer for $750 off any car. I fill it out, get an email in five minutes that is a coupon. It has a section on it for “Terms & Conditions” but it is blank. I then get a call from Lainie Vanasse, Internet Sales Manager, confirming that I will be there Saturday morning at 10am and am told to meet with Mike Bessette (manager).

Saturday morning, I get a voice mail and to emails reminding me of my appointment. The last two come in while I am already in the showroom. In any case, we get to the showroom, ask for Mike Bessette. He comes out, introduces himself, and gets us to a sales renamed Bill Ely. I review everything with Bill, explain that we have a pre-negotiated sales price and just need to value the trade-in.

Bill was great. We find a car on the lot that we will take. Great selection on the lot and the dealership was pretty busy. While on the lot, Bill informs us on the Metro customer for life program. Free loaners if we do service there plus free car washes at their new car wash located on the premises. They appraise the vehicle and come back with a trade-in value of $1,000. I get pretty upset with that value. Bill calms me down and says is there a number that you wanted in order to do a deal? I tell him $2,750.

He comes back a few minutes later, and says “we have a deal”. We shake on it and he proceeds to write up the paperwork. This was a cash purchase. I bring out the coupon and Bill says we can’t use it as it is not valid with other offers. I say, “Where does it state that”. We are totally prepared for them not to take it. But, after some prodding, Bill comes back from speaking to someone in the office and says “We cannot take it but we will up your trade to $3,000 as a result of the misunderstanding. We say great, we have a deal. We make an appointment to get the car on Wed morning. I put $2,000 on my credit card. Bill gets the title to the truck, the registration and we are basically done. I turn to my Dad and say, “this was pretty easy, not at all what I expected”.

Next, the paperwork comes out. Al the numbers look good except for a $24.95 item. We ask about it and are told this is the metro customer for life program. We argue a bit but say OK. Just before signing it, we decide to total it up. We are slightly off from the total on the bill of sale. I’m using the calculator app on my iPhone so maybe it is me. Bill says, let me go check. Next, mike Bessette comes back and says what’s the problem? I say that I cannot get the total to match but maybe it is me. As I look at the paperwork, now there is a new item on there for $199 in same color but clearly from a different pen. I ask what is this, this was not there two minutes ago. He says it is a vehicle etching fee. I say no thank you. He says the car is already etched. Are you going to buy it or not? I say what are you kidding me? He says forget it, I wouldn’t sell you the car even if you were willing to pay it. Never see Bill again and we leave the dealership totally pissed off.

Cheating on the total is just the lowest form of selling there is. I would caution everyone who goes here to check everything before you sign!

Ugh!! Never again

I was very disappointed with the service at Metro Honda. I leased a vehicle from them with a deposit down to cover tax, title, and registration.

Three and a half weeks later, my car isn't registered and my temporary plates have expired. When I called to inform them of this fact, they told me there was a problem with getting the car registered and needed more info from me. This was the first I had heard of this, they never contacted me to get the proper info, and in fact I had called them the week before to see if the registration had been done. They told me not yet, but we will give you a call when it is.

When I brought the expired plates to their attention, I asked if there was something that they could do so that I could drive the vehicle for the weekend, since the registry was already closed. I asked if I could have a new temp plate, they told me this was illegal. Ok, well can I use a dealer plate and return it when I get my proper plates. They told me they don't give out dealer plates to customers. I asked if I could borrow a loaner vehicle, they said they don't have any. I asked if they would cover a rental car for the weekend. Again I was told they wouldn't do that. And when I asked well then what I am supposed to do for the weekend, they told me to drive the car and be careful. WOW!!! They actually told me to break the law.

They also said that they would register the vehicle on Monday, it never happened. I received the automatic dealer survey from Honda on monday. I gave them an average of 2 out of 5 stars, for the service I received. And I informed them of this when I found out that they still hadn't registered the car. After that they were incredibly rude, told me that I had ruined their bonuses, and told me they would "TRY" to get the car registered on Tuesday. Needless to say, I am reporting them to the BBB and I also called the state police to report that they told me to drive around on expired plates.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We wanted a specific 2011 vehicle, with specific options. Metro Honda salesman said we can have the car in 'a couple of days', with a $500 deposit. He then called the following day with good news and bad news. He couldnt get the car we wanted, but he COULD get one just like it with more options (and more money). He said well the car you want cant be found in New England, if anyone says they can get you this, they are lying. We said no thank you and cancelled the order. Then we went on the Honda website, and located EXACTLY the car we wanted at the Honda Dealership in Norwood, MA. We called them and confirmed it was in stock (and the right options), and put a deposit down over the phone. We picked up the car last weekend. We are still waiting to get our refund back from Metro, and they do not return phonecalls. Too bad Metro - I would have bought a car from you, but your salesman lied, and your sales manager Paul is one of the rudest individuals I've encountered. Talk about poor customer service. You lost more than the 35k we just spent somewhere else... you lost a customer with a big mouth and lots of friends.

Worst Car Dealership!

We have never been to a car dealership like Metro Honda!!! They are the rudest all around sales people that we have ever dealt with. They certainly don't care about your satisfaction or business. When I relayed our experience to other people, they also had similar experiences to share and would never buy a car from them, I googled what people thought of Metro Honda and 99% of people were dissatisfied!! I personally do not know how they are still in business. If I could have given 0 stars that would have been more accurate than 1 star. Do yourself a favor and go out of state to Boch Honda or Herb Chambers, you will be glad you did!

Horrible Experience

Talk about high pressure sales and shady business practices. I visited the dealer yesterday to purchase an Accord Coupe. They ended up only have two loaded models that i wasn't particually interested in, but they assured me that we could work out a good deal. I played along for a bit to see how serious they were about making me a great deal. They offered me a rediculous amount for my trade and tried to give me an insane interest rate (8%) while honda america is currently offering 0.9%. At that point i decided it was time to leave, but they mysteriously couldn't find my keys. After several attempts to find my keys, i walked over to the sales managers desk and found my keys laying right in front of him. I called him them out on their shady practices and he got real angry at me and inssisted that he didn't know they were mine. Do youself a favor and avoid this dealer. There are others in the area that don't plays games with their customers.

Honest Honda Dealership Hands Down!

Hi,

My name is Mr. Fred Miller of Barrington, RI. I was recently looking for a 2008 Hybrid Honda Civic. I called many Honda dealerships and encountered horrible customer support and service. I was shocked at the poor quality of customer service. I went down the list in the yellow pages and crossed off Majestic Honda, Boch, Herb Chambers Honda and Saccucci. I called Metro Honda and was pleasantly greeted on the telephone. My first impression was “wow”. The sales representative that answered my questions was very knowledgeable and professional. I was so impressed I purchased a hybrid Honda from Metro Honda. Metro knows how to treat customers. Metro Honda is a 5 Star Honda Dealership!

Who do you believe?

When Metro Honda came to Johnston, I thought it would be the place to service my Honda Accord and to recommend them for Honda's for members of my family. - What a mistake. Let's take Service 1st - I had a spring come off the lock on my trunk lid. Took my Honda to Metro, greeted nicely by a service advisor, told her of my problem. She immediately got a service technician to evaluate. He came back stating that I needed a new lock at a cost of approximately $125. I said thanks, but no thanks.

Went home, got out a few tools, took the lock out, reattached the spring. Two years later, still no problem with the lock.

Parts Department- I needed my AC- Heater fan knob replaced. My wife purchased the knob from Metro at a price of $12.95. Later I checked around other Honda's dealers and got prices ranging from $8 to $10. Spoke to a parts person at Metro and was told that that was the price and if I wanted to return the knob, there would be a 15% restocking charge.

SALES DEPT.

Took my daughter there to get a price on two (2) Honda's - An Oddesey and a Civic. Was told that we could buy them at invoice price. The only problem was that they printed up their own invoice and prices. Not a Factory Invoice

Ended up purchasing at Boch Honda in Norwood, Ma.

Now the owner of Metro is making a statement that "He will save you thousands" Guaranteed!.... Who can you believe??????
