The Legal Services Division is a part of the Department of Revenue, which is administered by the state government of Missouri. The division is responsible for ensuring that the Department of Revenue complies with state and internal policies. It also manages the department s legislative efforts. The division s general counsel s office offers legal advice and represents the department in courts and administrative tribunals. The Legal Services Division s human resource services and development unit is responsible for handling matters related to personnel, training and employment law compliance. Its criminal investigation office works with law enforcement agencies to assist in the prosecution of individuals and businesses that are suspected of violating the laws of the Department of Revenue.
