He attended Jacobs School of Medicine in Buffalo where he earned scholarships and honors in both Ophthalmology and Rural Medicine.

Macular Degeneration is the loss of central vision due to damage to the retina. The macula is a part of the retina located on the back layer of the eye that affects the center of the visual field. Macular degeneration is often related to age and can be atrophic (dry) or exudative (wet).

With so much going on in your child’s life it can be difficult to keep up with them but it’s important to make sure they can see the world in front of them as clearly as possible. Children should have their first eye exam around the age of six months. If the first exam shows their eyes are healthy, follow up with another appointment between the age of 2-3.
