Health Systems of Mississipi is a utilization management and quality improvement organization contracted with the division of Medicaid for the state of Mississippi. Located in Jackson, Miss., its services include inpatient acute care, acute psychiatric inpatient care, swing bed, transplant and private duty nursing. Additionally, its services include psychiatric residential treatment facility, durable medical equipment, home health and outpatient therapy. It also offers physical, occupational and speech therapies. It applies quality screens to all pre-certification, concurrent, and retrospective certification cases for its services. Its education department provides informational workshops and educational programs for all providers.
