Simple Moving Labor

Terrible service. Only one of two movers showed up. I had to call and wait 1 1/2 hours. Then, they damaged the paint on every wall and tore up a door frame. Also, I had to help as one guy was too old. Basically terrible service.

My team arrived a little early, were very courteous and professional. They were able to unload and set up in an hour and a half. Very helpful in moving things where I wanted. I would definitely use them again!!

Loaders Arrived early. Notified me they tracked mud in the house during loading. Courteous and professional.

I loaders arrived on time. Unload was fast. Team was eager to leave as soon as the truck was unloaded despite my request for help moving furniture within the home.

Movers showed up an hour late but moved quick once they arrived. They were nice and pleasant.

Moved last October from McLain, VA to Oviedo, FL. Paid for 2 pro movers to load Penske rental truck. They were aweful! Much damage to furniture when we unpacked truck. Filed claims with SML and have still not heard back from them. Two points for anyone considering this company: 1). DON'T waist your money on "Pro" movers! 2). DON'T expect ANY customer service or response if you file a claim. The claim process is elaborate and takes a lot of time to follow their process (which I did) and still have not heard back. I will never use them again and advise you do the same.

My movers were there early and moved everything from my POD to my truck in exactly the allotted time. They were personable and very friendly. Would hire again.

I have to give "gold stars" to the office staff. I had to change my load and unload time several times. They were so helpful and really cheerful. They could have easily "fired" me as a customer but were great with all the changes. The move has not happened yet so don't know about loading and packing yet on this trip. I have used this company before and was well pleased, I am expecting the same this move.

The "professionals" that I hired were really nice BUT I was concerned with the amount of times that I heard bangs on the walls while they were moving our furniture. When we got to our destination & started to unload ALMOST ALL of our wooden furniture had scratches, scrapes, & damage to them. I did not call & complain because once you sign that waiver that everything is loaded undamaged, they are no longer liable. The thing is how can you know if things are damaged or not unless you watch every single item, every single second they are loading it & packing it. I was & STILL am VERY disappointed EVERY time I see the damage on one of my items! There should be some leeway on time to be able to inspect your items while unloading to file a complaint.

Excellent job packing. On-time and packed quickly and efficiently. Some problems when we unpacked. Movers stepped all over the back of white couch with muddy shoes. We were able to clean. Wrapped some unnecessary items and left others unwrapped. Overall, did a very good job.

The movers took good care of our items and were efficient. They came on time and completed the task within the allotted time period.

They packers arrived on time, were polite, but after getting to my destination, I saw all the damage done to ALL my beautiful wood furniture. They also damaged a light switch mechanism in my wall unit because they didn't take care when packing that piece properly. They also dirtied my box spring and mattress. I had wanted to use a cover I purchased to protect it, and they insisted it would limit their handling of it, so I gave in and am sorry I did. I would suggest someone else who would take better care of items when packing.

I chose this company because I was referred to it through the truck rental company. The movers showed up within the hour but at different times. The second mover showed up about 20 minutes after the first so he only worked about half the time. While the gentlemen worked quickly and were polite, I feel like I was overpriced. Upon researching other companies after the move, I found other companies for much better prices.

Every piece of wooden furniture I have (chest of drawers, wardrobe, headboard, footboard, endtables) was scratched, gauged and dented. Lamps were broken. I paid for "professional movers" but did not receive that level of service. The movers took the keys to the moving truck with them and would not return them. Their manager had to bring them to me at 10:30 at night. The office had the movers at the unload sight five hours early. I would Not recommend them.

The first time I used this company, the movers came late. They did a good job for the first three hour, then started acting tired. Sent them home and we finished loading the truck. The second time I ordered their service, no one called or showed up. I called and was told my e~sign had not gone in. Why would they not call me back. I am seventy almost and had to load a 26ft truck. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

They said the Pros could load 6 rooms in three hours. It took six. They told me if I bought wrap the pro movers would wrap my furniture they wouldn't, they kept trying to leave before the job was finished hire someone else!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want your stuff to be loaded in the truck in a way that does not guarantee your furniture will arrive with scratches. We used the "Professional Mover" option to load up a Penske truck for our move to California. We thought that by picking this option we would ensure that our stuff would be packed in such a way that it would arrive in CA in great shape. When the movers arrived at our new place in CA to help us unload - what we found was a disaster. Even though the SML movers had adequate blankets - they had extras after packing the whole truck - they didn't wrap our furniture adequately. Every wooden piece of furniture we owned had scratches and nicks out of them because they weren't wrapped adequately in blankets for the move. Please do not use this company. It is not worth it.

Very nice and helpful service. On time, cheerful, and pleasant.

Loaders arrived a bit late but called to let me know they were caught in traffic. Once they arrived they managed to fit everything into the Penske truck I had rented. We weren't sure if it would all fit but they did an excellent job squeezing it all in and it arrived at our new home in good shape. The unloaders arrived exactly on time and they got everything unloaded in 3 hours and made sure the furniture was in the locations we wanted in each room. I was pleased with the service provided by both the loaders and unloaders.

They got my storage unit loaded into the truck in about and hour. The unload was hectic, but they managed to get it all out of the truck and upstairs in the time I paid for. Additionally, there was a desk that ended up breaking from the way we had it packed in storage (before they loaded it) and they took it to the dumpster for me. Everyone was very professional and having the help was a huge weight off my shoulders.

We could not have asked for anything better. There were no surprises at all and they kept asking if we had more they could put on the truck since they packed it so well that we were able to take more than we anticipated room for. Everything was perfect. Thank You!!!
