Unethical business practices. I made a purchase and agreed to three monthly payments. The payments were set up on autopay to ensure that they would be on time. I assumed (mistake) that my purchase was complete, but found out almost a year later that there had been a problem drafting my last payment (replacement card activated prior to their last draft). Instead of contacting me immediately to resolve the issue as any other business would have, they waited ALMOST A YEAR! Their representative was rude when I contacted the store, and when I went in person to resolve the issue, I found out that I would be charged extra for extending the final payment beyond their six months same as cash policy. If you must do business there, pay attention to everything! They get one star from me, and thats only because the initial sales rep was pleasant and the rep who assisted me to resolve the issue maintained his professionism even though I was somewhat agitated.

Unprofessional...

I also rented a couch with homesmart- there wasn't a problem as long as they had my debit card on file ( and I mean the old fashioned way- think circa 1985-1991) but nice I had troubles with my bank acct I would go in and make payments- until I hit a rough spot. I would call and let them know when I would be coming in- and before you knew it, they'd blow up my phone hours later- because no one would document it- sad to say the manager Joey was usually the worst about documenting commitments. They have called me at work and swore up and down I am in my house- that they can see me. And again- this is during a time where I have a commitment date set. They have also scared my younger children, during other visits where they go to different windows, knocking and peeping. I understand I am a few days late- but not late enough for Joey and his guys to be acting like vultures. I feel as if this is the way their "MANAGER" reacts- I don't think I need to do business with them. I hear of people in my apartment complex who say they haven't paid Home Smart in months- I never see Joey and his crew head to their doors- while I communicate and show up when I promise- they call non stop and knock on my door as if they're the D.A- please continue to another Lease to own company- because if you ever run into "life's unscripted issues" Home Smart will treat you as if you're the most wanted in Huntsville...seriously.

Keep driving passed this place...

Keep driving passed this place, I started renting my couch through this Huntsville store six months ago when I got my tax refund back I decided I was going to go ahead and pay off the couch. Well long story short you only have 60 days after the time you actually pay your item off for them to come and fix a problem with the couch. I have a huge rip in the bottom of my couch and it has already been two weeks I have contacted the manager of this place who keeps giving me the run around. He claims he will contact the company and have them call me but it never happens.
