Ruby Salon

OMG! I am writing this review as my poor 14 years old girl finally passed out on a couch after crying for 5 hours straight. She wanted balayage so bad so finally I gave up and we decided that she will get very subtle, appropriate for her age balayage highlights. She normally gets her haircut at a different salon but I wasn't sure how good they with coloring there. And so we went by somebody's recommendation. I brought my girl to Ruby Salon, it looked nice and neat. Ruby took her right away, we looked at the color chart and decided on a very moderate brown/caramel color for her balayage. We explained to her we wanted very subtle look, my daughter has long, dark brown black hair naturally. I have a 2 years old girl that doesn't stay still for a minute , so I couldn't stay there(what a mistake!). Ruby told me it will take about 2 to 2,5 hours and I left. When I came back to pick my girl up I was in shock!! Ruby and the girl that does eyebrows were blowing my daughter's hair without even brushing it, just "after gym" kind of quick drying. But that wasn't the worst part, MY POOR CHILD WAS COVERED WITH BRIGHT RED HIGHLIGHTS, I MEAN LIPSTICK RED! The highlights themselves were uneven in length and width...not even well blended. There were harsh lines. I couldn't speak for a good minute, her entire back of shirt was covered with this color too! Anyway, they casually offered to "glaze" it over. I took my crying girl and stormed out of there. I am taking her today to fix it at a different salon. I WOULDN'T GO TO RUBY SALON AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS LAST HAIR SALON ON EARTH!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FRON THIS PLACE!

Nobody Can Get my EYEBROWS as perfectly as RUBY can !



i have followed ruby from salon to salon since i was high school and couldn't have been more excited when i discovered she opened her own, because nobody can get my eyebrows as perfectly as she can,in undergrad and graduate school i moved around a bit and dear fully regretted each new place i was forced to try for threading and waxing(stony brook,queens,even Manhattan) Each time ruby has kindly and patiently helped me fix the awkward shaping,over plucking etc that myself and others have caused & i continue to get compliments on the shaping she achieves.in fact,recently moved to PA and i wait till i come back and visit my mom so i can go threading.

as for waxing over time, i have gone for every service aside from the face(which i leave for threading b/c i have sensitive skin) and i have always had a pleasant,VERY CLEAN,quick,minimally pain for waxing,not awkward experience (and that is saying a lot considering i

I just wanted to say a very big thank you. My life has been so much easier since the Brazilian Blowout Treatment, The mornings are so much less stressfull! I'm still looking for a before photo, but if your clients have any questions, I would be so happy to tell them of my great experience.
