Ed Lima's Accurate Automotive Machine

I am an older lady who broke down on the corner of County Line Rd and US 19. The gas station on the corner highly recommended Mr Lima's Machine Shop up the road. I called Mr Lima, and he left his business to come down to my location and try to assist me. He got my car started and drove it to his business. Mr Lima put my car up on a lift and explained my car problem to me one step at a time so I could understand. He just could not have been any nicer or any more honest. Being elderly and a lady I so appreciated his integrity. My car was repaired and the broken part was shown to me so I have no doubt this business is reputable. I was NOT over charged either. I am writing this to let everyone know this business is the place to go when your car is in trouble as mine was. A huge Thank You for everything Mr Lima.

The prebiously written statement left by richardgagne has failed to say that his personal mechanic FAILED to replace a bad knock sensor and FAILED to hook up all of the engine sensors to the proper electrical connectors. Kia's have mulitply electrical sensor connectors that interchange with each other. ANY REAL MECHANIC WHO HAS EVERY WORKED ON A KIA KNOW'S THIS!! I was a customer there when this happened. I have known and done business with this shop and have never had any problems in the past 14 years and 6 different motors in 6 different cars. GREAT MACHINE SHOP IN ALL OF HERNANDO COUNTY!!!!!

Avoid this shop if at all possible. He refuses to stand by his work and proved to us to be just a fat scam artist. He refuses to document work he proposes or put in writing repair work he agrees to do or be liable for his screw ups. My wife had her engine rebuilt there and took it back twice and within days the after the second... time the motor seized. He agreed to take it back but did not want to put in writing that he would save the bad parts, call us so we could examine any problem he found to prove it wasn't due to his work. He would not put in writing what he said that he would do, make it right if it was due to his screw up at no extra costs. This was after the second time we had to bring this rebuilt engine back within days. Before bringing it back we went to 2 places Mike's Auto body and the local Kia dealership and had the engine analyzed. They both concurred that there was something not assembled right in the bottom end and the engine needed to be torn down and fixed right. He claimed he had another analization done and that was not the case. However when we got the car back the engine seized within days just as Mike's Auto Body said it would if the engine had not been rebuilt right this time. If you decided to bring a car there pray it's done right because he will not stand behind it. You cannot trust this scam artist and lowlife.
