Consolidated Marble

With over 2 weeks passing, our house is still filled with granite dust. Repeated cleaning just highlights the amount of dust you filled our house with. We have a doorway that will have to be repaired and painted. 2 wall sections that will have to be fixed and repainted – which might lead to having more walls painted to match. Carpets that must now be cleaned. 2 rounds of air filters and counting. And newly finished hardwood floors that will have to be touched up.



New floors and freshly painted cabinets and the crews came in like they were working inside your shop not our home. No respect for the environment they were in or consideration for any damage they may be creating. Certainly no regard for the horrendous mess they created and left.



To say I am disappointed in the experience would be a gross understatement. We were never asked to look at the stone BEFORE it was cut, as we were told we would be. We were never asked what edge we wanted on the counters, so we got the easy way out “eased edge”.



We have 7 corners- NONE of them are the same, just what ever the cutter felt like making.



The initial installation was nothing short of a nightmare. EVERY piece of stone that was brought to our home had to be recut to fit INSIDE the house because the installers were too lazy to carry them outside. If the measurements had been correct this would not have happened. We had the ORIGINAL counters sitting around and specifically ask if anyone wanted to trace or measure them.



Everyone was aware that 2 pieces had been broken on the first installation and NOBODY made provisions to address it until they were ask to come.



The second run at this, resulted in our kitchen sink off center to the window it sits under. The installers had to cut away part of the cabinet to make room for the kink in the hole that was cut in the wrong place. I guess we are supposed to like that as well.





And what did we get for all of this?



An owner that shows up expecting a check and a happy customer.



Well he got his check mailed to him, and after 2 weeks I am advertising for him as much as I can because he thinks all of this is fine and normal.
