Dr. Kishorkumar A Desai, MD

I was sent to this dr by referral after suffering with a post Covid syndrome, nearly one year prior to my appt. My Covid was severe which almost killed me. I have been to multiple drs who have determined Covid has created an autoimmune disorder and also RA. During the course of my txs from Covid I gained 95 lbs from the extensive steroid use, respiratory failure and heart damage (which left me unable to walk or be active for 10 months). When I went to this dr. he did not listen to anything I said and would cut me off mid sentence. He said I did not have RA or an autoimmune dx and that I was too overweight which was all my fault. He spent the entire time telling me how overweight I was, which was humiliating due to the fact that I had zero control over most of the weight gain. He never checked ANYTHING to determine if I had RA or even ask for further medical records from all of my specialists. He spent the entire session insulting my intelligence and not taking into consideration I have a serious condition that is causing a severe inflammatory dx in my body. It’s damaging my body at this point. All of my drs are concerned about this issue. His bedside manner was disrespectful and he did NOTHING for me. He never even examined me to check for ANY areas that were problematic (even though I had X-rays proving I had bone and tissue damage in my shoulders since Covid). I WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS DR. AGAIN (if that is what you call him). His empathy for patient care is pathetic! It was a waste of an hour drive and my copay!

Spent a total of 2 minuets with me, gave me the name of a drug and told me to have my family doctor prescribe it for me as well as some blood work. What kind of doctor will not write his own prescriptions or order blood work? He took no time to tell me what he thought was wrong with me, or address my pain issues. My pain Doctor told me that I fave Fibromyalgia and prescribed Lyrica, but before I could even finish the sentence he told me no you dont. No test or anything. Im still taking my Lyrica and feel much better, so explain that ! On top of that my next appointment is in 3 months! I can barely walk, but I'm supposed to wait 3 months ? It took a total of 5 minutes from me walking in the door to walking out. No physical exam or nothing. He really rushed me out of there. I'm finding another doctor, and recommend that you do too.

I have been seeing Dr Desai for 4 years. He has always been thorough. I give him all the credit for identifying and controlling my RA. I cant even imagine what sort of state I would be in if I hadn't gone to see him. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Desai does not like to have a lot of medicaid pts b/c he doesn't make as much off of them as he would a private pay pt.
