        For several years, I used this Carpet City store to find good quality/rugged/inexpensive carpet for my rental properties, and I always found exactly the right selection there. But then I had water in my own basement, and I saw just why this store is so great. Lori helped me navigate the insurance process (their replacement budget was far too low, and she gave me just the right pricing detail to push back), and, most impressively, got everything installed literally the day before the Thanksgiving guests arrived, so the house looked perfect (not an easy task - we changed to a stair runner at the last minute, so the carpet had to be bound).

        This shop has been in business for years. They have every selection you can possibly want and their pricing is competitive and clear. Best of all, you get the feeling you're working with neighbors who just aren't going to let you make a mistake - who wouldn't want that??

        This store doesn't price their samples on the floor. So, instead of being able to look at the price of a sample on the floor and know if it is in your budget, you need to wait for someone to calculate your quote for EVERY single sample.They do not give you narrowed down choices in your budget. I was left to aimlessly wander the store often while other customers were being helped.I was waiting 10-15 minutes at times to have someone helping me again. I was quoted $21.99 a yard on a sample I chose in the store. The estimated quote I was given was around $1150.The paper quote I left with said it was $25.99. After an employee came out and measured I was told the carpet was $24.99 a yard and that my grand total was over $1400! When I asked why it was so much higher I was told it was because the pattern in the carpet was not accounted for in my initial quote. EVERY other carpet store I had initial quotes from accounted for that! They are also horrible at returning calls in a prompt manner.
