        Oak Prairie Junior High School, located in Homer Glen, Ill., and established in 2002 enrolls more than 700 students. It provides higher learning opportunities and academic education for transition to the high school level. The school serves students in grades six through eight and is a part of the Will County School District 92. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, psychology, health, language arts, science, social studies and foreign languages. It emphasizes on reading and writing skills, and also provides physical and special education. Additionally, the school offers various extracurricular activities, such as music, choir, drama, band and dance. The school has a library that provides literary sources, a large collection of curriculum books and access to the Internet. The school also organizes science fairs and offers a student council. It provides various sports activities, such as basketball, cross country, volleyball and hockey. Oak Prairie Junior High School operates the SmileSafe Kids program that provides support services to students and their families.
