Unkeles Alan Ratty

I contacted Mr. Unkeles to represent me for a social security hearing several years ago. My health was declining and I sent in report after report from doctors, hospitals and also relayed my changing status to his assistant. Due to my persistence and the fact finding I did MYSELF, I did get approved for disability, but not due to his efforts except for the initial paperwork. When I did get approved, his response was "I have never heard of a nurse getting disability like you did." He received his percentage due to all MY work and little of his. Look elsewhere!

I hired Alan Unkeles to represent me in my disability case. I am severely disabled both mentally and physically and I should have been approved after the initial auto rejection that everyone gets. He did absolutely NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING to help me out. He did not contact any of my physicians for my first appeal, I guess he just resent the first thing he wrote up and of course I was denied. When I got to my hearing he was supposed to be prepared with statements from my physicians and he had NOTHING!! I had a hunch he wasn't doing much so I called my physicians and he hadn't contacted them at all. I had to make an appt and run to my PCP to get her to write a letter out for me but evidently that wasn't good enough. I was not able to get to my pyschciatrst in time so I had nothing from her which would have won my case on it's own. I had to hire a stupid TV attorney and I'm STILL waiting to hear from SS and it's been over 3 yrs and they say it could take another 14-20 months!! At least they did do their job and got all of the information from my doctors. I am so frustrated and so angry at this man. He is a complete inept idiot. Stay away from him!!!!
