Teeth Cleaning
Americans spend over 10 billion dollars a year trying to avoid mouth odor with breath mints. Yet, regular dental cleanings could prevent bad breath instead of trying to cover it up. So why don’t more people make sure they get regular dental care? Because they hate going to the dentist. Is that honest enough? It is that plain and simple?

Fillings
Composites can also be “bonded” or adhesively held in a cavity, often allowing the dentist to make a more conservative repair to the tooth. Composite fillings are considered superior to dental amalgam fillings and are more aesthetic.
Resin Composite
Fillings – Dental fillings are used to fill cavities and repair cracked or broken teeth. Fillings can be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam, but is most commonly done with materials called composite resin fillings that are designed to match the color of your teeth. A root canal is a relatively simple procedure with little or no discomfort involving one to three visits to your dentist.

Dentures
Dentures are prosthetic teeth constructed to replace missing teeth, which are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. There are two main categories of dentures, depending on whether they are used to replace missing teeth on the mandibular arch or the maxillary arch. Partial dentures are for patients who are missing some of their teeth on a particular arch. Complete dentures or full dentures are worn in patients who are missing all their teeth in an arch (i.e. the maxillary or mandibular arch).

Dr. Bhende has been practicing dentistry for over 14 years. He received his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from India. He went on to do a residency and then practiced in India before coming to the United States. He attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with Honors and received his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree in 1999. He later attended New York University for training in Implant Dentistry. He received a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) in 2003.

Tooth Extractions
A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons. Tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to prevent restoration is the most frequent indication for extraction of teeth.
Bone Grafting
Bone Grafting or Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) procedures usually try to re-establish bone dimension, which was lost due to resorption. A bone graft normally takes at least four to six months to heal, before a dental implant can be placed into it. There are times also that multiple grafts may be needed to produce the amount of bone needed. This is dependent on a person’s health and amount of bone being grafted. In certain cases, the surgeon may need to do a bone graft at the time of Implant placement.
