Skin Therapy of Virginia is a unique blend of aesthetics, nutrition, traditional and holistic medicine to develop skin care treatments that are individualized, preventative and results-oriented. Our approach to skin care is to treat the body as a whole entity to address the skin care concerns our clients deem problematic. We are an integrative approach to skin care. This is achieved by using a unique combination of aesthetics, nutrition, aromatherapy, traditional and holistic medicine to address skin care concerns. Our philosophy is to treat the body as a whole entity. Our systematic approach to address skin concerns by starting with a comprehensive consultation. Treatments are therapeutic, nurturing and pampering and performed in a relaxed and soothing atmosphere. Clinical treatments target acne, sun damage, dehydration, early signs of aging as well as menopause and hormonal dysfunction-related skin care concerns. Holistic treatments are formulated from our apothecary of herbs, hydrosols, flowers, teas, natural ingredients and therapeutic-grade essential oils. Our skin care products are natural and parable-free. About the Owner: Margaret Lapierre, Owner Practitioner and Certified Aromatologist, specializing in clinical aesthetics, treating all types of skin conditions, skin of color and customization of aromatic blends for therapeutic use. Health Sciences: B.S. Health & Wellness with a concentration in Health from Kaplan University. Graduated Suma Cum Laude. Massage Therapy Training: Received certification in massage therapy from American Spirit Institute. Aesthetic Training: Received basic and master level aesthetics training from American Spirit Institute in Williamsburg and Richmond, dermatologic skin care, skin care for menopause and hormonal dysfunction from the Rayner Institute in Washington, D.C. and advanced medical aesthetics from the International Advanced Medical Aesthetics Institute in Texas. Holistic Health and Aromatherapy Training: Received her diploma in holistic health practice and certification in aromatherapy from the American College of Healthcare Sciences with a concentration in nutrition, anatomy & physiology, pathology, pathophysiology, client consultation, herbalism, therapeutic and customized blending of essential oils.
