Oral Cancer Screening

Teeth Cleaning
Children should begin attending bi-annual checkups by age two or three. A child’s checkup is different from an adult’s in that we may not take X-rays or photos, and we will look for development problems. Children may not need a dental cleaning until age three or four.
Fluoride Treatment
Your dentist may recommend dental sealants and fluoride supplements during a checkup – especially for children. These preventive measures can deter tooth decay.
Dental Sealants
How we can help: A dental sealant is a clear plastic coating that is painted on back teeth. It acts as a barrier against the sugars and starches that cause tooth decay. For kids, teens and adults, sealants on hard-to-clean back teeth can greatly reduce the risk of cavities. Dental sealants wear off over time, so they may need to be replaced periodically.

Fillings
Resin Composite
A small cavity, left untreated, can grow to destroy an entire tooth. Unlike our skin, teeth don’t heal naturally. Only professional dental care can correct your cavities and return you to optimal oral health. A dental filling, made from white composite resin or porcelain inlay, can fill a prepared cavity and reinforce a tooth’s structure.
Veneers
They are an option for correcting stained, chipped, decayed or crooked teeth. Veneers are made by a dental technician, usually in a dental lab, working from a model provided by your dentist. Placing veneers is usually an irreversible process, because it’s necessary to remove a small amount of enamel from your tooth to accommodate the shell. Your dentist may recommend that you avoid some foods and beverages that may stain or discolor your veneers such as coffee, tea or red wine. Sometimes a veneer might chip or fracture. But for many people the results are more than worth it.
Crowns
Also called a bridge, crowns and bridgework replace one tooth or a few teeth in a row. Bridges are fixed, non-removable appliances.
Bridges
This residency program consisted of post graduate training in all phases of a general dental practice, including implants, reconstruction with crowns and bridges, endodontics (root canal treatments), surgery, and of course routine dentistry for the entire family.
Dental Bonding
Chips, stains, gaps, and cracks on your front teeth can easily detract from an otherwise attractive appearance. But if you’re hesitant about investing in dental veneers, consider cosmetic bonding instead. Although bonding doesn’t last as long as veneers, it is generally faster and less expensive than bonding. Plus, like veneers, bonding resists stains, so it holds its natural-looking color.
Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal. If sensitivity is severe and persistent and cannot be treated by other means, your dentist may recommend this treatment to eliminate the problem.

Deep Cleaning
Gum disease is the main cause of tooth loss for adults in the US, and it has been linked to systemic conditions, such as heart disease, respiratory problems, and mental dysfunction. Eighty percent of American adults suffer from some form of this condition. If you show signs of gum disease, your hygienist will recommend a deep cleaning to remove plaque from below the gum line. Some patients benefit from special mouth rinses, antibiotic therapy, or habit changes to reduce gum disease. Regular maintenance visits are required to keep gums healthy and strong.

Dentures

Tooth Extractions
In some situations, you can avoid tooth extraction by undergoing a root canal. An internally infected or inflamed tooth may be treatable. Inside every tooth, canals house the pulp (nerve) that sustains the tooth’s life. A deep cavity or crack can compromise the pulp and cause infection or inflammation. As infection and inflammation builds, the tooth begins to ache from internal pressure. At this point, your dentist will recommend extraction or a root canal.
