Summit Insulation

My wife and I hired Summit Insulation and they were great to work with. Our old house really needed new insulation all over. The estimator explained the entire process and the crew was kind and respectful of our home, all great guys. We already feel a diference this winter. The only downside, was that it had rained the night before the crew came, the grass was very softr and some of the lawn was trampled, but all in all, not a huge deal. Thanks again, Tom & Maggie !

My husband and I had a great experience using Summit to insulate our old Montgomery County home last Fall. We can already feel the difference with the cold weather we have had this winter, our home now stays warm!

Summit just insulated our house 2 weeks ago. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and we cant wait to feel the difference this winter. We highly recommend them to anyone with an older home.

Summit Insulation insulated our home this winter. It is now March and we already feel an amazing difference. Our heating bill for February was dramatically lower than last year. The estimator was courteous and professional and the installation crew was great, they left our house cleaner than when they arrived. I highly recommend Summit to anyone who needs insulation work done to their home.

Summit Insulation came to insulate our attic and walls last week. We finally decided to get our house insulated after such a cold winter. We can already feel the difference! Summit Insulation was great to work with and we highly recommend them.

On 2/14/14 Summit Insulation came to my house and installed the foam insulation in my walls as well as in my attic. Before they did the work this winter my BGE bills were over $500 a month and my house was freezing cold. After Summit Insulation completed the work, my house was immediately warmer and my bills were 35% lower. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have their house insulated. Great job!

Met the salesperson Bill at a marketing booth and was very upfront that we only wanted an estimate at this point and would consider purchasing early next year. Bill came to the house and estimated where, again, I was very upfront of our intent not to purchase at this time. He continued to lower his original estimate until it was 50% less than his initial amount (should have been a sign). The discount combined with a "guaranteed BGE rebate" made the deal too good to pass up. Bill agreed, prepared a contract that specifically noted the BGE rebate and we signed. Two days before the process was set to begin the owner Andy called. He advised he would not agree to the contract we had signed. I advised this was a discussion for him and his salesperson. He then said "he's not my salesmen" and tried questioning my decision to install their product based solely on the price. I said if you are not going to honor the contract I am not moving forward. Andy said "OK" and abruptly hung up on me. I called back to see why I was hung up on and voiced my concerns over his lack of professionalism. Later that day I called the salesmen Bill to advise of my experience with Andy and to relay my concerns. Needless to say that call was not returned. These guys are clearly unprofessioanl who commit to one thing to get a contract signed, but then refuse to honor the contract. I imagine most people who would already have taken the day off work and were looking forward to the home improvement would have just gone along with it....not this person. These guys use deceptive sales techniques and are beyond unprofessional. You've been warned; don't waste your time like I did.

Summit came to my house and did an excellent job. I have a ton of flowers all around my house and they were extremely careful not to trample them as they did their work. The guys doing the job really seemed to know what they were doing and were great at explaining what it was they were doing. All in all a good experience that I would highly recommend.

On 3-25-09 the crew of Summit Insulation installed Retrofoam in our home, which has brick and aluminum siding. They were prompt, careful, efficient and thorough. Each of them was a pleasure to deal with as they worked.



I would hesitate to have this delicate an demanding work done, except by such a professional crew. When they left, you would not know they had been here or that anything had been done to the house.

My house was built in December 1980, I figured that I needed some insulation so I called Summit. Bill came out to give an estimate. He is great and makes you not even remember saying-"sign me up"! The crew did a fantastic job. They explained every step of the way to me. I was very impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. After they finished they cleaned up around the house and on my porch so it looked better than when they arrived. All in all an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Summit Insulation.

Summit came out in December to our house. For the first time we are enjoying a home without cold drafts during the windiest days.

I decided to have my center unit town home insulated with injected foam because there were quite a few drafts coming through all of the light sockets and power outlets on the front and backside of my house. I thought the cost for the foam insulation was high but seemed worth it for what it could provide. I signed the contract and the work was completed in August with no real noticeable difference for better or worse until November when the weather turned cold. The house is just as drafty as it ever was. Cold air pours into the house from the outside. After leaving 5 messages and getting no call back I finally got an answer at the Summit office and made an appointment for a thermal scan to see what the problem was. I took the day off of work and the tech never showed. Two more messages and an e-mail and I have still heard nothing.



I have a feeling that the product wasn't applied correctly or completely and that would be hard to detect in a warm climate, so I understand that it might need to be corrected once the flaw becomes evident. If they would have come out and corrected the issue I would then give them high marks. The fact that they won't return phone calls or keep appointments to fix the problem makes me very sorry that I went with them as a contractor. This is just terrible customer service.



Long story short, this is either a poor product or it wasn't installed correctly and the company could care less to make it right. Save your money or find another contractor.
