Raymond E. Wells Jr. High School, established in 1987, is a public school that offers academic classes in a variety of subjects, such as English, math, algebra, science, American history, civics, and family and consumer science. In addition, it conducts classes in choir, band, physical education, career orientation and physical education. Raymond E. Wells Jr. High School maintains a guidance counseling department that provides basic assistance to students regarding scholarships, career planning, and social and mental problems. The school supports chapters of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society. In addition, it operates a Spanish club, spirit squad and student council. Located in Greenwood, Ark., Raymond E. Wells Jr. High School is a part of Greenwood Public Schools and teaches students in grades eight and nine.
