Solverus Christian Academy Childcare & Preschool

With our many children, we have been at 4 different preschools in the area as our needs have changed but this was by far my favorite. The warmth and caring provided here and the attention to really teaching the kids is just wonderful. The staff has become like family to us.

We could not be any happier!! All the staff are very friendly. They really care about the kids .My baby seems super happy every time i drop him off :) Solverus has been a blessing for our family and i really want to THANK YOU for all you do. Thank you for taking care of my sweet baby boy. Thanks Kerri (director) you guys are doing a really great job!!! :D

Our son attended SolVerus Christian Academy for 3 years. His transition into kindergarten was easy, he was very well prepared for that. SolVerus has a complete program that helps children to develop all the aspects necessary to learn well and build a great foundation for years to come. We were extremely happy with our choice and glad that our son had spent his preschool years in a friendly, safe and nurturing environment while developing all necessary skills to face elementary school. We miss all of the staff at SolVerus. They were like family to usl!!

This was my daughter's first preschool experience. She started at SolVerus as soon as she turned 16 months. From the tour, to the enrollment process, to the first few days, all the staff members and administration were patient, sweet and always had a smile on their faces. I was very pleased to find out that Ms. Yvonne was very accommodating with the needs of my child (which is one of the most important aspects for me as a parent). As an early childhood educator myself, I can spot a high quality preschool program as soon as I step in a preschool. I realized that Solverus is one of those programs. Their research based curriculum help children blossom in all aspects of development. The classrooms have age-appropriate materials and equipment. The daily schedule, activities, and discipline policy is age-appropriate as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this preschool as a great place for a child to blossom!

My son Hayden has thrived and made major development strides since he's been here. The teachers and staff are amazing people who really care about the children! I am so pleased with my choice.

My son has been at ECAC for almost 2 years. They have went through a lot of changes. New director and new staff but still the great staff they had before on hand. I've never had an issue with the care my son has received there. He loves going to play with his friends and learn. I only had one concern once and brought it up and it was taken care of no questions asked.

My daughter has learned so much since attending this preschool we are truly blessed to have found such a wonderful place for our little one...she loves going to school and truly loves her teachers she talks about them all the time and the administration staff is extremely professional and care about the value of the children and their education.

We could not be happier with ECA. Our two children have been attending for more than two years. The prior director was recently replaced and there have been a few new teachers added but all of them are very loving with our children and seem to be quality well educated teachers. The teachers that have been replaced seemed to be necessary. We have been happy all the while but the changes have shown a great deal of improvement even still. We are 100% confident in our choice for our children’s early years. It’s a great feeling to know that we don’t have to worry when our children are at ECA. The commitment of the teachers, the love to our children and the Christian atmosphere are so important to our family. The NEW director is WONDERFUL!

My wife and I made a terrible lack of judgement when choosing ECAC for our childcare needs. We have been extremely polite and friendly with the staff and have always paid on time. Our four year old developed a terrible fear of going to this school within a month of starting. After relaying our concerns to the director multiple times we felt it was best to remove our daughter from ECAC to another Preschool. The teacher that my daughter was afraid of was let go however we had already made other arrangements. We made our final payment in full and notified the director and asst. director of our plans using the forms they provided. We were then accused of having not made our final payment. We notified them and they said it was their mistake and that it was corrected. A week later we received another email saying if we did not pay within two days it would be turned over to collections. They once again admitted it was a 'mistake'. I had to request a letter from the director stating we did not owe them anything just in case they convienantly made another 'mistake' and cause a negative blemish on our credit rating. Please use caution and good judgement when considering this school. The atmosphere is not what one would expect from a 'Christian' institution. Our daughter went from happy and joyful to fearful and scared within a matter of weeks while attending this school. We have heard several other stories/comments similar to this from families within our church group.

I feel horrible that I even sent my children there for 4 days. I base my decision on daycares on mulitple factors, but primarily I don't want to send my children anywhere that I wouldn't want to spend the entire day myself. This place even smells dirty. The teachers are rude, obnoxious, and in one case, too large to even hold my child on their lap. The teacher told me she "held" my daughter, which equated to her placing my 18 month old on a table in front of her. When I talked with the director about my concerns, she argued with me. Not at all how a director should respond to anything a parent wants to talk about.



My child had to stay home sick one day and the teacher called me and told me that if we weren't going to be there, that we had to call. Last I checked, they worked for me. Although it is common courtesy that I call a daycare to let them know if we will be out, they should never mandate it. I am paying my week's tuition whether I am there or not.



That was when I had enough.....



In hindsight, without even sharing my experiences or the fact that we went there, my pediatrician told me the only place he would strongly advise AGAINST going was Eastside Christian Academy. When he told me that, I felt like crying that I subjected my children to that place.



Also, they are EXTREMELY overpriced. I found another daycare we love that is much cheaper, but much higher quality. My advice to anyone looking for a daycare is to shop around. Tour them all. And my #1 piece of advice is DO NOT trust a daycare that does not have a waiting list to get in. There is a reason there is availability, and it's usually not good (and daycares that tell you they have "only 1 spot left" are usually lying)
