Ugh!

What a nightmare it was leasing thru Birch. I didn't find them to be trustworthy.

Gee

I would not recommend this agency to anyone. They have very poor customer service. They have shady ethics and I have been a victim of them. I did not receive my full deposit and they gave some outrageous reasons as to why it was not returned in full. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau. It appears that many have had the same problems. Renter beware. Do not sign a lease with this agency. You will be sorry.

The professionals at the BBB evaluate the validity of each claim and make the decision as to the validity of each accordingly. While it is very easy to hide behind the secrecy of the internet and make false claims based on any number of factors, we strongly suggest that customers and clients reference the independent rating of our business by the BBB- It is an A, up from A- a year ago.

UNHAPPY RESIDENT

I moved into one of their properties on 06252009. The air conditioner unit was out. I called to report the air was out and was advised I would have to put in writing a service request. I did the same day on 06252009. A repair man did not come out to look, at the unit until Saturday 06272009. I was told the unit had to be replaced. On Monday I called to see when would I be getting air and was told the manager of that property was out until 06302009 and would not find out anything until then. I also advised them of the noise of the upstairs neighbors. I advised them the people who live above me have 2 kids.... a boy and a girl approx ages 10 and 12 in a 2 bedroom condo. I advised them that they make noise from sunup to sundown, jumping off the bed, bouncing off the walls, running down the hall, doing summersaults and any other noise you can think of, it's like living under a bowling alley. I asked the magangement could I be switched to another unit they had due to no air, the noise and that I have asthma, allergies and sinuses. Their response? You signed a lease for the unit you are in. I received a call from the receptionist Jennifer (who is not very friendly or helpful) advising me on Wednesday 07012009 that the owner of the unit is going to send a check to replace the unit and when they received it they would order the unit I asked what was I supposed to do then because of my asthma. Her response? "Basically do what people who don't have air do......SWEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!" This is the WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The propert mangager Ebony Harris is never there and NEVER returns you call. So a word to the wise do not move into ANY BIRCH MANAGEMENT PROPERTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And do not move into any of their vacancies at CHARLESTON SQUARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After this resident submitted a written request (which is required under NC General Statute), the appropriate vendor diagnosed the issue within 1 day and a full replacement of the unit was ordered. The new unit was installed as quickly as possible. Also, this particular resident did not pay their rent at any point after moving in and was evicted by order of the Guilford County Clerk of Court. The eviction is a matter of public record and can be found by case number 09CVM16069. We strive to keep all of our residents happy by providing the most efficient service possible, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws.
