As a realtor here in Great Falls, Customer Service is something I seek for in every contractor I work with. Unfortunately, Brett's (Owner) service was poor at best. I had an emergency gas leak that needed repair and to their credit, they came over right away and got on the job. For the next two days it spiraled downward. When I first called on the phone i was given an estimation between $300-$800 from their office staff with the understanding that each situation is unique and that price could vary. I asked for a quote at least 4 times throughout the process and the answers varied from "well I haven't sat down to think about that yet" or "Sorry Brett is out of town" not even a rough estimation was given to me. I asked the tech in my basement (who was Brett's son) and also got "I don't do the numbers". Eventually i said that they needed to stop working on my house until they could tell me what I owed them so far, and what it would take to complete the job. Good thing I asked because they wanted to charge me an additional $1800 to finish the job. After day one my furnace and hot water heater was hooked up and ready to go. Day two was entirely spent on hooking up one line and a couple fittings to the stove. With their labor rate day two cost me $650. Even Brett agreed that it took a long time however he would not come down on his FINAL BILL OF $1695.00. ($1300 of which was entirely labor for ONE plumber over the course of two days) I'm writing this review in hopes that nobody gets taken advantage of and that nobody gets trapped with a bill like this.

Every time we have had an issue with our furnace Gill's has helped us. Once the owner came out after hours and wasn't going to change us. Once we called them and they told us how to fix it. This time they fixed it and it didn't cost very much. I highly recommend Gill's.

We had our AC go out and after reading online (first time home owners) about things to check before calling for help (none of which helped) I checked online for local repair. I read a few of the reviews for Gills and decided to call them in the morning. The didn't have any openings for that same day but they put me on a "wait and see list". Shortly after I had a call and was informed they could be over in about 30 mins to check out the problem for us. After showing up, Gill was quick to identify the problem and also offered a crash course in repair items/things to watch. Moving forward we will only use Gills and will keep recommending them to all of our friends and family!

Prompt service, very accommodating. Bret did a fantastic job with the many questions I had. He was extremely patient, and gave great advice with many options for service. You can tell they want to provide quality work, without pushing a sales agenda. This is the type of local business to supports. They are my go to for heating and a/c needs. He offered great referrals for other tradesmen, as well.

Prompt, great service, good people. Would not consider anyone else to service my furnace.
