Engineered Fire Systems is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, a worldwide technology company with a long history of pioneering advancements in aerospace, aviation, helicopter design, climate control, elevator design and hydrogen fuel cells. Engineered Fire is a full-service fire sprinkler design company that specializes in producing fire sprinkler shop drawings for installation contractors. Additionally, the company provides engineering, consulting and plan review services to developers, general contractors, building owners and fire departments. Projects range in size from one sprinkler head to more than 20,000. All of its plans are drawn on AutoCAD with a custom fire sprinkler design program the company developed in-house. Services provided include installation drawings, wet and dry systems, deluge systems, HASS hydraulic calculations, building surveys, bid drawings, hazard and water supply analysis, estimating and review. Engineered Fire Systems is located in Grass Valley, Calif.
