Sunrun

My recent experience with Sunrun has been a nightmare, characterized by their abysmal customer service and restrictive warranty policies. After a hailstorm damaged some of my solar panels, causing a leaking roof, I expected immediate assistance. However, Sunrun's response was disheartening.

Despite the situation's urgency, Sunrun informed me that hiring independent contractors to detach and reattach the solar panels would nullify my warranty. This left me with no choice but to rely on Sunrun's sub-contractors, with no assurance of their competence or efficiency. It's frustrating to be forced into such limitations when dealing with urgent issues.

When I stressed the urgency of the situation, Sunrun's proposed time frame for action was an astonishing 3-4 weeks. This is completely unreasonable for a leaking roof, which requires immediate attention to prevent further property damage. Sunrun's lack of consideration for the urgency is both disappointing and concerning.

Additionally, their insistence on using their own sub-contractors further demonstrates their disregard for customer needs. Homeowners should have the freedom to choose qualified professionals for repairs, especially during emergencies. Sunrun's requirement feels like a ploy to maintain control, rather than prioritizing their customers' immediate concerns.

Sunrun's warranty restrictions and lack of urgency are major flaws in its customer service. Instead of providing prompt assistance during a crisis, they prioritize their own contractors and protect their interests. This approach lacks empathy and professionalism.

Their restrictive warranty policies, insistence on using sub-contractors, and lack of urgency in addressing urgent matters have left me extremely dissatisfied. I strongly caution anyone considering solar services to reconsider engaging with Sunrun. Their negligence and failure to prioritize customer needs reveal their incompetence and lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
