My TexSun Solar Screens

We do not recommend TexSun Solar Screens. Our extreme disappointment is based on their lack of professionalism, customer service, follow through, and product installation. Immediately after the screens were installed we contacted the owner of TexSun, about a crack in our master bedroom, first floor window. At no time did he offer to come out and take a look at our concern. His response was that, if we were to have a window company come out and they said the crack could be caused by the screen installation he would pay for our broken window. We did this, only to find out TexSun had no intention of ever reimbursing us for the damage. They went back on their previous statement and we were told that the screens were absolutely not installed incorrectly and that the manufacturer of the screens used, only need ½ inch gap and that our windows were designed with a track on the outside for this purpose. However, the gap between the windows and the screen were definitely less than ½ inch. It is clear that this company is run with no personal pride or integrity. The only response given was that he had been doing this for 10 years and never had a similar situation, so therefore it could not be possible.
We then noticed a second window had a new crack. This window also had a solar screen installed and was at a different area of the house, and on the second story. We have been our home for 3 ½ years and have had no issues with the windows, but within a week of TexSun’s installation two windows now have heat cracks and their stance is still that there is no way it could be the solar screens? Multiple window companies informed us that they see heat cracks often due to improper installation of solar screens. After the second window cracked we called Danny and asked him to come pick up the screens and refund our money, which did not happen. We were told that we could remove the screens and bring them back, for a refund, as long as no damage was done to the screens. We were absolutely not comfortable with this, given the unscrupulous behavior of the company thus far. From the onset, we were given the option upon scheduling this service or picking up the screens and installing ourselves. We opted to pay more in order to have TexSun come and install them and expected the same for the removal. We had already scheduled a professional company to come and repair our windows.
We then received a text offering to mail us a check to cover some of our costs and we could keep the screens just to put this behind us. After many attempts to confirm the issuance of a check, 4 months later and we had still not received the check nor had any response from TexSun. The TexSun website boasts 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. We did issue a complaint with The BBB that is still not resolved. Our complaint is based on a refund issue, guarantee issue, and many customer service issues.
