        The VA Medical Center offers a range for health care services for more than 37,000 veterans in western Colorado, eastern Utah and southwestern Wyoming. The center, governed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, operates community-based outpatient and telehealth outreach clinics. It specializes in a variety of primary and secondary care services, including acute medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient solutions. The VA Medical Center operates over 20 acute care and nearly 30 transitional care unit beds. In addition, the center provides mental health consultation, evaluation and treatment programs. It also has expertise in the areas of neurology, audiology, surgery, gynecology and mammography.
