General Info
Every day the world becomes more industrialized and uses more energy. Unfortunately, that energy costs more and more to find and bring to your home. These market conditions will continue to drive up the most significant costs of operating our homes and businesses - heating and cooling. Energsmart's products - especially foam insulation - drastically reduce the amount of energy used in the buildings we insulate. Not only does that lower your bills immediately, but when gas and electricity prices go up in the future, your wallet will only take a fraction of the hit that fiberglass insulated buildings will see. Not only are our products best-in-class, but so is our experience. We have thousands of successfully completed projects under our belt and Energsmart likely has the most experienced installers in the region. For added peace of mind, rest assured knowing Energsmart has never had a single complaint filed against it with the Better Business Bureau. Read our customer testimonials and you'll see just a few reasons why. On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. This law extends the tax credits for energy efficiency into 2011, BUT at lower levels. The levels revert back to those in effect in 2006 and 2007, which were 10% of the cost of the improvement, up to $500, with a $200 max for windows, and several other set maximums.Highlights ?10% up to $500 for insulation, roofs, and doors.?Windows capped at $200, but qualification now ENERGY STAR?Furnace and boilers capped at $150, and all furnaces and boilers must meet 95 AFUE?$50 for advanced main air circulating fan?$300 for air conditioners, water heaters, and biomass stoves?$500 lifetime limit. If you got over $500 in these tax credits from 2006-2010, you are not eligible for anything more.Energsmart is accredited by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and is an Energy Star Partner in New York. As such, we can offer most residential programs offered through Energy Star. We also perform a safety analysis of all the combustion appliances in your home to ensure they're operating effectively and exhausting harmful emissions (like carbon monoxide) out of your home. This is a "no brainer" as it will give you useful information to lower your energy bills without you having to commit to paying a dime.2.If your household income is greater than $127,400 the program will still pick up part of the tab for the audit fee. The $250 audit fee is proportionally subsidized for household incomes as high as $254,799. So, for example, if your household income was $191,100, you would only pay us $100 and the Energy Star program would pay us the other $150.3.Once an audit is done the gifts keep flowing! EVERYONE qualifies for a 10% subsidy through the program. So if you agreed to do $2,000 worth of work with us, you would pay us $1,800 and the Energy Star program would cut us a check for the other $200.

We had Energsmart Insulation insulate our previous home almost 8 years ago. We had a cape cod style home that was only comfortable when it was 70 degrees outside. After they insulated our roofline & basement rim joist areas it was comfortable all year long and our energy bills were cut almost in half! Not only was there estimator on time and knowledgable but so were the workers who installed the products. We were so happy with the first experience that we had them insulate our new house that we bought last year and while many houses in our neighborhood had icicles hanging to the ground our roof was covered with snow! I recommend Energsmart to anyone I know that needs insulation and wants a professional company that delivers high quality results.

We called Energsmart last winter when ice was building up on our roof. They showed us through their Energy Star software that our gas bills were significantly higher than similar sized homes. After getting a couple prices, we decided their prices for foaming our attic were right in line with others. After they did the work they measured the air infiltration of the home and nearly cut it in half! Our home is much more comfortable and our bills have dropped to a much more pleasant level.
