        Wayne Sturtz founded Total Asphalt in the early 80's on the belief that Richmond needed a paving company that provided timely estimates, fast service, and affordable top quality work. He felt that Total Asphalt could build a relationship with their customers and provide an ongoing service. He hired Vince Wilhelm in 1986 and made him an owner in 1993 to help him keep up with the incredible growth of the company. So far so good! We are probably the most referred or recommended paving company in Richmond. Total Asphalt has been proudly serving the Central Virginia area businesses and residents for almost 30 years. We are a full service asphalt installation and repair company, dedicated to your complete satisfaction. We handle a wide range of installation and repair, from driveways to new parking lots. Our expert team receives ongoing training and certification from our materials producers, thereby allowing us to provide the latest techniques in asphalt installation and repair. Since we are locally owned and operated, we understand the normal aging of asphalt in the area, and are prepared with the correct materials to aide in the repair and maintenance of your asphalt area. Some of our customers have included retail shopping centers, banks, municipalities, apartment communities, commercial business owners, and homeowners. Our projects have included laying new parking lots, and driveways, as well as maintenance and repair, and painting/striping.

        Outstanding! Have used this company multiple times to seal my asphalt driveway. I would not use any other company for this project. They are professionals, arrive as scheduled, take the time to talk with you about your driveway and what they are going to do. When the job is completed, they go back over the completed treatment and what you need to do to ensure it dries properly and perfectly. They roped off my driveway entrance and left everything simply perfect. Will use them over and over without hesitation.

        We hired total asphalt quickly after the good communication and customer service. We search around until Total Asphalt was the first to call back and come over for estimate. The service was on time and the workmanship was great. I would recommend them to anyone an the Richmond Virginia area. The owner "Rick" is a open and honest guy!
